Due to some technical difficulties experienced with UCAS Apply and the possible delays caused by postal strikes, the closing date for medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine/science, Oxford University and University of Cambridge has been extended to 16 October 2007.
Please note that the extended deadline applies only to the UCAS application and not to any other application materials requested by universities and colleges.
This is the deadline for us to receive the application: please allow enough time beforehand to check each student's application and to write and attach the reference before sending the application.
An application for any of the above courses/institutions received after this date (but by 30 June 2008) will still be sent to the chosen universities and colleges, but the institutions are not obliged to consider it.
If your students have not yet completed their application for any of the above courses, please remind them of the deadline.
If your students are applying to Oxford University or University of Cambridge, they must fill in a separate paper application form from that university as well as the UCAS application. You should have copies at your school or college, or they can obtain one from the relevant university.
If applying for either Oxford or Cambridge, we advise that your students check the relevant university's website to find out how the postal strike affects receipt of their application form.
