Learn about the latest changes to the 14-19 curriculum
HE admissions tutors and staff increasingly need to be aware of current and forthcoming changes in qualifications and to be
responsive to work-related learning, experiential learning, evidence of learning over a longer period of time, broader programmes of learning and group awards.
The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) has created a website that is dedicated to 14-19 education and skills. This website explains the changes to the 14-19 curriculum and the implications for higher education.

An information pack containing tailored guidance on the 14-19 reforms for Higher Education is also available from this site. The pack provides information on the reform of existing qualifications including GCSE and A level, describes the implementation of 'stretch and challenge' and provides details about the new Diploma qualifications. The pack also contains a calendar of events showing clearly when institutions need to take action to ensure that they are properly set to fulfil their roles in successfully introducing the reforms.
