What is an IELTS test?

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is a test taken by people whose first language is not English to prove their command of the language. If you are an international student, your universities and colleges may ask you to take this test as part of the conditions of their offer. You can find out where these courses are held from the IELTS website.
