Statements from universities and colleges about the Diploma

Some universities and colleges have provided a statement regarding their view of the Advanced Diploma. We hope to receive more statements so that you are fully informed about which universities and colleges accept the qualification. New statements will be added to this section every fortnight.

A30: University of Abertay Dundee

The University welcomes the development of Diplomas and will consider applicants presenting these qualifications for entry to Undergraduate degree programmes in relevant subject areas. Certain degree courses may have specific subject requirements.

A40: Aberystwyth University (Uni of Wales, Aberystwyth)

Changes to 14-19 Curriculum in England: Aberystwyth is aware of the changes that are taking place in England in terms of the revised A-levels, GCSEs, functional skills and the introduction of the Extended Project as well as the new Diplomas. We are supportive of these changes in principle and welcome applicants offering these new qualifications for 2009 entry. A42: ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts)

We welcome applications from students studying the new Diplomas.

A45: The College of Agriculture, Food & Rural Enterprise

CAFRE is currently considering the new Diploma qualification and is likely to find it acceptable as an entry qualification. Further work will be undertaken regarding specific entry requirements across the various discipline areas.

A50: American InterContinental University

American InterContinental University welcomes applications to undergraduate courses from students taking the new 14-19 Advanced Diplomas. The University will look at the subject of the Advanced Diploma being studied to ensure that it is relevant to the programme applied for on a case-by-case basis ensuring that every student is appropriately advised for entry onto their chosen course.

A60: Anglia Ruskin University

We will be happy to consider applications from holders of the new Diplomas from 2010. Please refer to individual course entry requirements for further detail or contact admissions@anglia.ac.uk.

A65: Anglo European College of Chiropractic

We should be happy to consider applications from holders of the new Advanced Diplomas from 2010. Early indications are that level 3 Advanced Diplomas in science, including chemistry and biology, may meet the standard entry requirements for the MChiro degree programme. However, the whole applicant profile will be taken into consideration and judged on its own merit, and it is possible that applicants may need to take specific additional and specialised learning options to gain admission.

A70: Askham Bryan College

Askham Bryan College welcomes the new 14-19 Diplomas and will consider the Advanced Diploma equally and individually with other level 3 qualifications for 2010 entry. Further advice on specific requirements is available from the Admissions Office.

A80: Aston University, Birmingham

Aston welcomes applications from students seeking to broaden their studies in an applied manner and considers the Extended and Advanced Diplomas to meet the general level required for University studies. Specific Additional Learning options, or in some cases additional qualifications, may be required for courses with subject-specific entry requirements.

B06: Bangor University (was University of Wales Bangor)

The University is committed to offering entry routes to students following the new English 14 19 Diplomas that have been developed for first teaching in September 2008 in the areas listed below. B11: Barking College

Barking College will accept the New Diplomas as an entry qualification to its Higher Education courses from September 2008/9. For further information about the grades acceptable please contact the admission office at the college.

B12: Barony College

Barony College welcomes applications from students studying the Advanced Diploma. Specific requirements may depend on the degree programme applied for.

B15: Basingstoke College of Technology

Basingstoke College of Technology will welcome applications to undergraduate courses from students taking the new 14-19 Advanced Diplomas. Detailed entry requirements will be published as soon as possible.

B16: University of Bath

The University welcomes the introduction of the new Advanced Diplomas. Candidates will need to check with individual departments about their particular subject area to ensure that an appropriate Line of Learning has been followed. Specific Additional/Specialist Learning may be required for programmes accepting a new Diploma. Please check the department's web pages for further details.

B20: Bath Spa University

Bath Spa University welcomes applications from candidates studying the 14-19 Advanced (Level 3) Diploma. We expect to be able to consider applicants presenting this qualification for the full range of courses we offer, provided that the subject of the Advanced Diploma is relevant to the degree programme applied for. B21: City of Bath College

The college welcomes applications from those students offering the new Advanced Diploma qualification for the full range of courses we offer. The college will look at the subject of the Advanced Diploma being studied to ensure that it is relevant to the programme applied for. It is expected that entry will start in 2010 and more information on entry qualifications will be published on our website and course information during 2008/09.

B22: University of Bedfordshire

The University of Bedfordshire welcomes the new Diploma qualifications. The University has focussed for many years on enabling people, whatever their circumstances, to open up new possibilities and achieve goals they may ever have thought possible. The Diplomas will provide greater curriculum choice for young people in education and at the same time result in students gaining valuable experience in industry and skills associated with the workplace. As a teacher training institution we are engaged with training the diploma teachers of the future, as well as working with local authorities in developing the curriculum with schools and colleges. B23: Bedford College

Bedford College will welcome applications to its Higher Education programmes from students studying the new Diplomas. Exact entry requirements will be published as soon as details of the Advanced Diplomas are finalised.

B25: Birmingham City University

The University welcomes the new Advanced Diplomas as an exciting alternative to the traditional A level route into HE courses. We acknowledge the merits of applied learning and employer involvement and believe that the development of Personal Learning and Thinking Skills will be of significant benefit as a preparation for HE level study. The Extended Project provides a valuable opportunity for in-depth work and will help to develop skills of independent learning. The university therefore welcomes applications from Advanced Diploma students.

B32: The University of Birmingham

We encourage applications from those offering the new Advanced Diploma. To meet the entry requirements applicants may need to take specific Additional and Specialised Learning options. Diploma candidates should consult the Admissions Office to check that their Diploma is suitable for their chosen programme and that they are taking any required options.

B35: University College Birmingham (Was BFTCS)

University College Birmingham is happy to welcome applications from students who are undertaking the new 14-19 Diplomas for entry to our undergraduate programmes. For further information relating to entry requirements for individual courses please contact the Admissions Office.

B37: Bishop Burton College

Bishop Burton welcomes applications from learners with Advanced Diploma qualifications as part of its commitment to widening participation for entry to our undergraduate courses in the relevant programme areas.

B38: Bishop Grosseteste University College Lincoln

We welcome applications from students with Advanced Diplomas for entry to all our undergraduate programmes. Applicants may be required to complete specific qualifications as part of the additional/specialist learning options (eg History for our Heritage degree). B41: Blackpool and The Fylde College

Blackpool and The Fylde College welcomes the development of Diplomas and will consider applicants presenting these qualifications for entry to our Foundation degree and Honours degree programmes in relevant subject areas. Certain programmes may have specific subject requirements. Please contact our Admissions Office for more details.

B44: The University of Bolton

The university welcomes applications from students studying the new diploma lines. The new diploma at Level 3 and extended project will be accepted as entry qualifications in their own right, or can be combined with AS/A2 Level qualifications. B50: Bournemouth University

Bournemouth University welcomes the developments in the 14-19 Curriculum and will consider applicants presenting the new qualifications for entry onto Degree and Foundation Degree courses in related subject areas at the University and our Partner Colleges. The University acknowledges the benefits of applied learning and employer involvement and welcomes the breadth of academic and practical learning that applicants studying the Diploma would develop, especially 'creative thinking' skills which are central to this qualification. We will consider applicants presenting the diplomas for the full range of courses we offer. Entry requirements and grades will vary from course to course; some courses may require the study of specific subjects either within the Diploma or additional/specialised learning Specific requirements. B53: The Arts Institute at Bournemouth

The Arts Institute welcomes applications from students holding the new 14-19 Diplomas and will consider the Advanced Diploma equally and individually with other level 3 qualifications for 2010 entry.

B56: The University of Bradford

The University of Bradford welcomes the new diploma qualifications as an entry requirement for its undergraduate courses. The University has focused for many years on providing opportunities for all potential students. We have one of the best track records in the UK for widening participation and for employment after graduation. We believe that the diplomas are an exciting innovation which will provide greater curriculum choice for young people in schools and colleges. As such they provide a mix of vocational and academic study and lead to greater motivation. We are currently working on the detail of these with Education Bradford and local schools and colleges.

B60: Bradford College

Bradford College welcomes the new Diploma developments. We will consider applicants with Advanced and Progression Diplomas for entry onto foundation and bachelor degrees in related subject areas. More information will be available at the College website www.bradfordcollege.ac.uk. The College is working closely with schools in the development of Diploma programmes and is certain that this initiative will provide students with an ideal preparation for Higher Education and for future employment.

B70: Bridgwater College

Bridgwater College welcomes applications from students who will be studying the 14-19 (level 3) Advanced Diploma qualifications for HE from 2010. Details of the qualification profile required for each programme will appear in our published prospectus prior to 2010 and appear on our website www.bridgwater.ac.uk.

B72: University of Brighton

The University of Brighton welcomes the development of the Advanced and Progression Diplomas and will consider applicants presenting the new qualifications for entry onto bachelor and foundation degree programmes in related subject areas.

B74: Brighton and Sussex Medical School

At the current time, it is unlikely that anyone offering the Advanced Diploma (including Health Society and Development ) alone will qualify for entry to BSMS.

B77: Bristol, City of Bristol College

Welcomed.

B78: University of Bristol

Advanced Diplomas are part of the National Qualifications Framework, and the University will view the general standard of preparation as being equivalent to existing level 3 qualifications such as A Levels. We will therefore consider applications from students offering this qualification and will formulate offers on an equivalent basis with existing level 3 qualifications. Individual admissions tutors will, however, wish to satisfy themselves that Diploma applicants have developed study skills and subject knowledge appropriate to the programme applied for. B79: Bristol Filton College

Filton College, as a key partner in the delivery of local new Diploma delivery, welcomes the new Advanced Diplomas as an exciting alternative to the traditional A Level route into HE courses. It acknowledges the merits of applied learning and employer involvement and believes that the development Personal Learning and Thinking Skills will be of significant benefit as preparation for HE level study. The college welcomes applications from students with Advanced Diplomas for entry onto any of it's HE programmes.

B80: University of the West of England, Bristol

UWE welcomes the development of a new range of Diploma qualifications for the 14-19 phase of secondary education. As part of its commitment to diversity and widening participation UWE has long experience of enabling a wide range of highly-motivated and able people who have successfully achieved a wide range of vocational and academic entrance qualifications to become UWE students. The University will accept the UCAS Tariff points attributed to all the components required to achieve the Advanced or Progression Diploma for general entrance purposes to the first year of undergraduate degree programmes. As a guide in each programme entry you will find details of the UCAS Tariff range and any subject or grade specific requirements which are normally required for entry to that programme. B81: British College of Osteopathic Medicine

The British College of Osteopathic Medicine will welcome applications from students with Advanced Diploma for entry to all our undergraduate programmes. Applicants may be required to complete specific qualifications as part of the additional/specialist learning options (eg Biology A Level). B84: Brunel University

Brunel University welcomes applications from students taking the Advanced Diploma. More detailed information concerning acceptable subjects for entry to individual courses is available on the university website.

B87: The British School of Osteopathy

Applications will be welcomed from students studying for the Advanced Diploma from 2010. Early indications suggest that level 3 Advanced Diplomas in science may meet the general entry requirements. The Admissions Group will ensure that candidates have developed relevant scientific knowledge (specifically Biology) and study skills for the M.Ost degree programme. All applicant profiles will be taken into consideration and judged on their own merit and potential students will be required to attend an Introduction and Evaluation day. B88: Brockenhurst College

We would be happy to accept the 14-19 Diplomas within the required entry qualifications for HE provision at Brockenhurst College.

B90: The University of Buckingham

We will be happy to consider applications from holders of the new Diplomas along with all other qualifications.

B94: Buckinghamshire New University (formerly BCUC)

Bucks New University, uses the full spectrum of the UCAS Tariff, welcoming a full range of qualifications and valid experience.

B95: Burton College

Burton College considers the Advanced Diploma to be equivalent to A Levels and therefore will satisfy our entrance requirements for entry to our undergraduate higher education programmes. We will publish more detailed entry requirements in our 2010 higher education prospectus.

C05: University of Cambridge

We will be considering the acceptability of the new Diplomas for our courses on a case-by-case basis. Of the Phase 1 Diplomas, the Advanced Engineering Diploma is the only one which provides appropriate preparation for a Cambridge course, and will be accepted for Engineering as long as you have taken A level Physics and the new Certificate in Mathematics for Engineering within the Specialised Learning component.

C10: Canterbury Christ Church University

The University welcomes applications from people taking the new 14-19 Diplomas. Some University programmes require specific subjects to have been studied. You should check the UCAS Big Guide or University prospectus for more information.

C13: Capel Manor College, Enfield, Middlesex

We welcome applications from students with Advanced Diplomas. See entry requirements for individual courses for more information.

C15: Cardiff University

Cardiff University encourages applications from students from a wide range of backgrounds and educational experiences. We thus welcome the introduction of the 14-19 Diploma in England and see it as a significant development enhancing opportunity. The University's Admissions Committee, in conjunction with Admissions Tutors, will continue to review Cardiff's position and monitor our approach towards the new Advanced Diplomas in light of our experience. All applications to the University are considered by Admissions Tutors on their individual merits. Applicants taking Advanced Diplomas will be made offers where these are compatible with the entry requirements for the programme of study. More information will be published in due course.

C20: University of Wales Institute, Cardiff

UWIC welcomes applications from Advanced Diploma students from all five Diploma subjects, onto our related HND, Foundation degree and Honours degree programmes. For more detailed information, please see under entry requirements for individual programmes.

C21: Castle College Nottingham

Castle College Nottingham welcomes applications from Advanced Diploma students for entry to its Higher Education programmes. Some courses require the study of specific subject(s), either from the Advanced Diploma or from another qualification; others have specific professional/vocational/employment requirements. You are advised to check the detailed entry requirements for your chosen course before applying. C22: Coleg Sir Gar / Carmarthenshire College

The College welcomes the new Advanced Diplomas as a suitable alternative to the traditional A Level route into HE courses. Applications will be accepted from Advanced Diploma students for entry to many undergraduate programmes, both related HE courses at Foundation degree and Honours Degree level, and other courses in the College. We will be happy to consider applications from holders of the new Advanced Diploma (Level 3) from 2010. Specific requirements will depend on the degree programme applied for and be published in due course.

C55: University of Chester

The University of Chester welcomes applications from students undertaking the new 14-19 Diplomas. In general, we are happy to consider any applicant studying an Advanced Level Diploma, although some subject disciplines may require an additional subject-specific level 3 qualification. The University of Chester is committed to providing progression opportunities wherever possible. More details will be available on our website at www.chester.ac.uk in the coming weeks.

C56: Chesterfield College

We should be happy to consider applications from holders of the 14-19 Diploma. Students should contact the college for more information relating to appropriate lines of learning for particular courses. We welcome the full range of qualifications and appropriate experience.

C57: Chichester College

Chichester College will be delivering the new 14-19 Diplomas from September 2008 and will welcome applications from students with the new Diploma at level 3 (Advanced) from September 2010. Students will need to hold a 14-19 Advanced Diploma in an appropriate line of learning and meet the college's minimum UCAS points score in order to progress onto a higher education programme.

C58: University of Chichester

The University of Chichester welcomes applicants undertaking the 14-19 Diplomas. Any applicant undertaking a level three Diploma will be considered for entry to a relevant undergraduate course.

C60: City University

City University welcomes applicants presenting the new Advanced Diploma as an entry qualification. Some courses will require the study of specific subjects either within the Diploma or additional/specialised learning. The University is closely monitoring the development of the various pathways and you would be advised to consult with the Admissions Office for further detail.

C62: City College, Birmingham

City College Birmingham welcomes applications from students with Advanced Diplomas for entry to Higher Education courses from 2010. Further information about our higher education provision can be found on the college website www.citycol.ac.uk

C64: City College Coventry

City College Coventry welcomes applications from students with Advanced Diplomas for entry on to HE programmes from 2010. Detailed information of our courses and entry requirements will be available on the College website www.covcollege.ac.uk.

C66: The Manchester College (City College Manchester)

City College Manchester welcomes the new diplomas for entry to higher education. The college is watching the development of the various diploma subjects with interest, but, in general, is currently prepared to take the level 2 diploma as equivalent to other level 2 courses and the level 3 diploma as the equivalent to other level 3 courses.

C69: City of Sunderland College

City of Sunderland College welcomes applications to undergraduate courses from students studying the new Diplomas.

C71: Cleveland College of Art & Design

Cleveland College of Art & Design welcomes applications from students studying for the new Advanced Diploma qualification. For the purpose of admissions, this qualification is equivalent to three A levels. Offers will be made on an equivalent basis with existing level 3 qualifications. We will issue more detailed guidance as information on the new qualification becomes available.

C72: Cliff College

Cliff College will be happy to consider applications from holders of the new Advanced Diplomas along with all other qualifications.

C75: Colchester Institute

Although we would not expect students with the new Diplomas to be entering higher education before 2010, we expect to be able to accept the level 3 Diplomas for entry to our degrees. The normal offer level from the Diploma will be confirmed following confirmation of the points awarded by the UCAS Tariff and entry maybe dependant on the Diploma taken and the degree scheme applied for.

C78: Cornwall College

Cornwall College welcomes applications from students studying the new Diploma qualification. The College recognises the Advanced and Progression Diplomas as indicated by their UCAS tariff values, and these will be accepted as entry qualifications where they demonstrate relevance to the HE programme to which the student is applying. Specific requirements will depend on the programme applied for. Further details can be found on the College website and in the HE prospectus.

C80: Courtauld Institute of Art (University of London)

Courtauld Institute of Art will accept applicants who successfully achieve the new Advanced Diploma (level 3). To meet the standard entry requirements applicants will be required to take specific Additional and Specialised Learning option.

C85: Coventry University

Coventry University welcomes applications from students who are undertaking the new 14-19 Diplomas for entry to our undergraduate programmes. The new Advanced Diploma at Level 3 will be accepted as an entry qualification on its own or it can be combined with AS/A2 Level qualifications. UCAS are in the process of allocating tariff scores to the Diplomas and we advise applicants to refer to our website for the latest information on our requirements once these tariff scores are confirmed. C88: Craven College

Craven College welcomes applications from students studying the new Advanced Diploma. The College will consider the Advanced Diploma as an entry qualification in its own right or combined with an AS or A2 level qualification. More information about our exact entry requirements will be published on our website www.craven-college.ac.uk and in our prospectus for the 2010 application cycle.

C93: University for the Creative Arts (Formerly UCCA)

The University for the Creative Arts will be happy to consider applications from holders of the new 14-19 Advanced Diplomas (Level 3) seeking admission to the University in 2010. Further detailed information regarding specific course requirements in relation to these new qualifications will be published on the University website www.ucreative.ac.uk in due course.

C99: University of Cumbria

The University welcomes applications from those students offering the new Advanced Diploma qualification for the full range of courses we offer. We will look at the subject of the Advanced Diploma being studied to ensure that it is relevant to the programme applied for. Where this is not the case an additional qualification at level 3 may be required.

D13: Dartington College of Arts

Dartington College of Arts welcomes the new 14-19 Advanced Diplomas. The new advanced specialist diploma at Level 3 (not the Higher Diploma which is level 2) will be considered as an entry qualification to our undergraduate courses and is equivalent to 3.5 A levels. Due to the subject specialisms offered through the new diploma, it is highly suitable for our Media, English and Writing courses. Our Art & Design courses require additional evidence of a candidate's suitability in the form of a portfolio. Particular subject backgrounds such as Music and Theatre may not be adequately covered by the initial diploma specialisms but we advise applicants to contact the College to discuss their individual requirements. Of the initial subject specialisms available, it is likely that 'Creative and Media', 'Information and Technology', 'Land-based and Environmental' and 'Manufacturing and Product Design' are potentially suitable for some of the College's courses.

D22: Dearne Valley College

Dearne Valley College is aware of the changes that are taking place in England in relation to the revised A-levels and GCSEs, as well as the new Diplomas. We are supportive of these changes and welcome applications from students who are undertaking the new 14-19 Diplomas, for entry to our undergraduate programmes.

D26: De Montfort University

De Montfort University recognises the UCAS tariff points attributed to the Progression and Advanced Diplomas and will accept both qualifications as satisfying general entrance requirements for the majority of our undergraduate programmes. Applicants with the Progression or Advanced Diploma will be considered for entry on to programmes in subjects closely related to the Diploma lines currently offered. For entry on to other programmes not directly linked to the current Diploma lines, applications will be judged on their individual merit and we recommend that students undertake the Advanced Diploma with appropriate Additional and Specialist Learning. Where the Principal Learning of a Diploma does not meet an A Level subject entry requirement then specific Additional and Specialist learning will be required. Diploma applicants will normally be invited to attend an interview.

D39: University of Derby

The University of Derby welcomes the new diplomas for entry to higher education. The University is watching the development of the various diploma subjects with interest, but, in general, is currently prepared to take the level 2 diploma as the equivalent to GCSEs and the level 3 diploma as the equivalent to A levels. Offers to students taking diplomas will be made in terms of tariff points. Students should note that the Progression Award (principal plus generic/core learning) will be accepted as the equivalent of one to two A levels and will thus open access to HNDs or FDs. For entry to degrees, students are recommended to take the Advanced Diploma (principal, generic/core learning and specialist/additional learning). Applicants must note also that there are a number of degrees which require certain subject knowledge at level 3, and this will need to be translated into the specialist learning component of the Advanced Diploma.

D45: Kirklees College (Formerly Dewsbury College)

Kirklees College considers the Advanced (Level 3) Diplomas as being an equivalent level qualification to A levels and therefore satisfying the general entrance requirements for entry to an undergraduate programme. Specific requirements will depend on the exact program applied for. Specific Additional/Specialized Learning may be required. Please contact the Admissions Team for support as needed.

D55: Duchy College

Duchy College welcomes applications from students studying the new Diploma qualification. The College recognises the Advanced and Progression Diplomas as indicated by their UCAS tariff values, and these will be accepted as entry qualifications where they demonstrate relevance to the HE programme to which the student is applying. D58: Dudley College of Technology

Dudley College welcomes applications from students studying the new Diplomas.

D65: University of Dundee

The University of Dundee welcomes applications from students with Advanced Diplomas. Please contact the admissions office for details regarding entry requirements.

D86: Durham University

Durham University welcomes applications from students taking Advanced Diplomas in most subject areas. Specific entry requirements including compulsory Diploma course content and exclusions will vary from Department to Department and will be publicised through the usual channels.

E10: Ealing, Hammersmith and West London College

EHWLC welcomes applications from students who are studying the new Advanced and Progression Diploma qualifications. Specific requirements will depend on the subjects applied for to ensure that candidates have developed subject knowledge and study skills relevant for the course for which they have applied.

E14: University of East Anglia

In order to make the 14-19 curriculum more flexible and useful, the government is making changes to A-levels and introducing a range of new Diplomas. The University welcomes these reforms. Although students holding the resulting new A-levels or Advanced Diplomas will not be applying for entry to the University until September 2009, we would like to advise prospective applicants at this stage that we will consider both qualifications for entry depending upon suitability of the subject(s) offered and the degree programme applied for. E28: University of East London

The University of East London has a long tradition of welcoming students with a wide range of qualifications and supporting them throughout their studies so that they may achieve their potential within higher education. We therefore welcome the new diplomas and believe that they will enable a wider range of applicants to participate in higher education, having gained practical experience in the application of academic learning. Whilst we have not as yet mapped these new diplomas onto specific entry requirements, it is most likely that they will be accepted for entry as part of the UCAS tariff, with some programmes requiring an A level in a subject relevant to the degree in addition to the diploma. We recognise that young people, their teachers and their parents/carers need to have the specific details about entry to our programmes and we aim to have our definitive statement on entry following diploma study by September 2008.

E32: East Surrey College

East Surrey College is supportive of the new Diplomas and welcome applications from learners achieving these new qualifications.

E42: Edge Hill University

The University welcomes the developments in the 14-19 Curriculum and acknowledges the merits of applied learning and employer involvement associated with these. The development of Personal Learning and Thinking skills will be of significant benefit as a preparation for HE level study. We are working closely with those developing the new Diplomas to advise on curriculum design and entry to Higher Education. As a University committed to widening participation and providing opportunities for all potential students, we will recognise the new Advanced Diploma as the equivalent of 3 A Levels and meeting the entry requirements of Degree and Foundation Degree courses at the University and associated Colleges. UCAS Tariff Points attributed to the Diploma grades will be recognised fully. As with any University qualification, entry requirements may specify a particular subject specialism, whilst the grades needed for entry will vary.

E56: The University of Edinburgh

The University is hopeful that diplomas will provide a progression route to related degree programmes. It will of course be necessary to consider, as details become available, whether the content and assessment standard of each diploma meet the academic and non-academic prerequisites for particular programmes.

E58: Edinburgh College of Art

Edinburgh College of Art will consider applicants presenting the Advanced (level 3) Diplomas for entry to the first year Undergraduate degree programmes in relevant subject areas. All programmes have specific additional subject/entry requirements. For more information please contact our Academic Registry Office.

E70: The University of Essex

Although we would not expect students with the new Diploma to be entering University before 2010, we would like to advise students that the University expects to be able to accept the Advanced Diplomas for entry to our degree courses. Entry to specific degree courses may be dependent on the Diploma taken and the degree course applied for.

E77: European Business School, London

E81: Exeter College

Exeter College supports the introduction of the new 14 - 19 Diplomas and will consider applications from holders of these awards for entry in 2010 and onwards in line with the agreed UCAS Tariff. Entry may be dependent on the Diploma taken and the specific course applied for.

E84: University of Exeter

The University supports the introduction of these Diplomas and will consider applications from holders of these awards for entry in 2010 in line with the agreed UCAS Tariff. Please note that it is anticipated that specific additional learning requirements may be required for degree programmes that currently require specific A-Level subjects/grades as stated in the university prospectus.

F33: University College Falmouth

University College Falmouth welcomes the new 14-19 Advanced Diplomas. The new advanced specialist diploma at Level 3 (not the Higher Diploma which is level 2) will be considered as an entry qualification to our undergraduate courses and is equivalent to 3.5 A levels. Due to the subject specialisms offered through the new diploma, it is highly suitable for our Media, English and Writing courses. Our Art & Design courses require additional evidence of a candidate's suitability in the form of a portfolio. Particular subject backgrounds such as Music and Theatre may not be adequately covered by the initial diploma specialisms but we advise applicants to contact the College to discuss their individual requirements. Of the initial subject specialisms available, it is likely that 'Creative and Media', 'Information and Technology', 'Land-based and Environmental' and 'Manufacturing and Product Design' are potentially suitable for some of the College's courses.

F66: Farnborough College of Technology

The College welcomes applicants from students undertaking the new 14-19 Diplomas as entry onto undergraduate programmes. Candidates will need to check with the College that the appropriate Diploma studied is relevant to their degree application.

G14: University of Glamorgan, Cardiff and Pontypridd

The University of Glamorgan welcomes the new Advanced Diplomas as a suitable alternative to the traditional A Level route into HE courses. Applications will be accepted from Advanced Diploma students for entry to many undergraduate programmes, both related HE courses at Foundation degree and Honours Degree level, and other courses in the university. G42: Glasgow Caledonian University

The University considers the Advanced (level 3) Diplomas as being an equivalent level qualification to A levels and therefore satisfying the general entrance requirements for entry to an undergraduate programme. Specific requirements will depend on the exact program applied for. Specific Additional/Specialized Learning may be required.

G45: Gloucestershire College (was GLOSCAT)

The college welcomes applications from those students offering the new Advanced Diploma qualification for the full range of courses we offer. The college will look at the subject of the Advanced Diploma being studied to ensure that it is relevant to the programme applied for. It is expected that entry will start in 2010 and more information will be posted on our website in advance of this.

G50: The University of Gloucestershire

The University of Gloucestershire will accept the Diplomas at their full points rate as confirmed in the UCAS tariff.

G56: Goldsmiths, University of London

Goldsmiths welcomes applications from students taking the new Diplomas and will consider any such applications alongside those from students presenting other level III qualifications. Any offers made to Diploma students will be conditional upon achievement at a level which corresponds to our published standard offers, provided students demonstrate an appropriate subject mix for their intended area of study. These requirements will be updated as more information on the content of the Diplomas is made available.

G70: University of Greenwich

The University of Greenwich has always been completely accepting of a wide range of level 3 qualifications. To endorse the university's inclusive ethos we will actively encourage applications from students with the new Advanced Diploma. Entry to some undergraduate courses may require certain subject knowledge at an advanced level, and in these cases, applicants may be asked to present a specific Diploma unit or a particular grade in specified Principle Learning units (e.g. Mathematics for Engineering degrees). The university welcomes the prospect that the new qualification will allow applicants the opportunity to demonstrate the further and higher skills necessary for study at higher education. H49: UHI Millennium Institute

UHI Millennnium Institute welcomes the development of this new qualification and will consider the Advanced Diploma as an acceptable entry requirement. We may ask for specific grades and certain restrictions could apply in some subject areas.

H54: Hopwood Hall College, Middleton/Rochdale, Lancs

We welcome the introduction of the new Advanced Diplomas and will support applications from students who have followed this route. Candidates will need to check with individual departments about their particular subject area to ensure that an appropriate Line of Learning has been followed. Specific Additional Learning options, or in some cases additional qualifications, may be required for courses with subject-specific entry requirements. Entry will start in 2010 and more information on entry qualifications will be published on our website and course information during 2008/09.

H58: Kirklees College (Was Huddersfield Tech College)

Kirklees College considers the Advanced (Level 3) Diplomas as being an equivalent level qualification to A levels and therefore satisfying the general entrance requirements for entry to an undergraduate programme. Specific requirements will depend on the exact program applied for. Specific Additional/Specialized Learning may be required. Please contact the Admissions Team for support as needed.

H60: The University of Huddersfield

The University of Huddersfield welcomes applications from Advanced Diploma students for entry to its undergraduate courses. More detailed information about acceptable subjects for entry to specific courses will be published in our 2010 prospectus, on the university website and within UCAS course search.

H72: The University of Hull

The University of Hull will welcome applications from students studying the Diplomas. Tutors will assess suitability for the programme, as with all applicants, for specific required subject knowledge.

H73: Hull College

Hull College welcomes the development of Diplomas and will consider applicants presenting these qualifications for entry to Foundation Degrees and Honours Degrees in relevant subjects. Certain higher education courses may have specific subject requirements.

H75: Hull York Medical School

The Hull York Medical School welcomes the development of the new Diplomas. Applicants offering the Advanced Diploma (Level 3) and both A level Biology and Chemistry will be considered for entry.

I50: Imperial College London

Imperial College has considered the proposed Advanced Engineering Diploma. The present restriction on the Additional Specialist Learning element to the equivalent of 1.5 A levels means that the Diploma does not contain sufficient academic content to demonstrate that Diploma award holders could cope with the academic requirements of our engineering courses. Thus, the Advanced Engineering Diploma as currently defined does not by itself provide a normal entry route to our engineering courses. However, we may consider candidates with both the Diploma and A Levels in specified subjects which meet our entrance requirements (see individual department entries in Undergraduate Prospectus for details).

I60: Islamic College for Advanced Studies

Islamic College for Advanced Studies will consider the Advanced Diplomas as an entry requirement for its undergraduate courses. Individual course requirements do vary depending on the discipline and all applicants are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office before making an application.

K12: Keele University

Keele University welcomes the introduction of the 14-19 Diplomas and will accept the Advanced Diploma as equivalent to three A-levels. For entry to a number of degree courses at Keele, particular subject backgrounds at level 3 are required and these may not be covered by the initial Diploma lines. Keele would also expect students to demonstrate a high level of attainment in their Diploma work. We would advise all students taking the Advanced Diploma to contact Keele's Undergraduate Admissions Office before they make their UCAS application to discuss their options.

K24: The University of Kent

The University of Kent welcomes the introduction of the new Diploma Qualifications and is pleased to consider the Advanced Diploma for entry to its undergraduate degree programmes. The University appreciates the wider skills students will achieve through Generic Learning and Extended Project, as well as specific subject-related knowledge through the Principle Learning and Additional and Specialist Learning. Applicants should note that some degree courses require certain subject knowledge at an advanced level, and in these cases, students will be asked to achieve an A level in an appropriate subject or a specific Diploma unit, as part of their Additional and Specialist Learning. The University will continue to review the Diploma specifications as they are released, and will publish more detailed guidelines for individual degree programmes in due course.

K60: King's College London (University of London)

King's welcomes applications from those studying the new Diploma (level 3) qualification. The College has not yet finalised specific entrance requirements for our programmes at this stage. We do expect that certain programmes will require specific subjects/qualifications within the Additional and/or Specialist Learning of the Diploma. We recommend that potential applicants check the King's website for up to date information on entry requirements.

K84: Kingston University

Kingston University welcomes the new Advanced Diplomas as an exciting new route into higher education (HE) and believes that the development of Personal Learning and Thinking Skills will be of significant benefit as a preparation for HE level study. The Extended Project provides a valuable opportunity for in-depth work and will help to develop skills of independent learning. Kingston University therefore welcomes applications for 2010 entry from Advanced Diploma students from all five Diploma subjects, both to related HE courses at Foundation degree and Honours degree level.

L05: Lakes College - West Cumbria

The Lakes College will accept a Diploma pass at level 3. If applicants have singular or multiple Diploma modules, applications will be considered on an individual basis.

L07: University of Wales, Lampeter

The University of Wales, Lampeter welcomes applications from students with Advanced Diplomas for entry to all its undergraduate programmes.

L14: Lancaster University

Applicants taking the new Advanced Diploma (Level 3) will be considered for entry to our undergraduate degree programmes. L21: Leeds: Park Lane College

The University of Leeds will consider applications from students offering the Diploma qualification and will formulate offers on an equivalent basis with other level 3 qualifications. Leeds College of Music welcomes applications from candidates studying the Creative and Media 14-19 Advanced Diploma. However, specific additional and specialist learning will be required to ensure that an appropriate level of musical knowledge and experience is attained. L34: University of Leicester

We welcome applications from students with 14-19 Diplomas, provided that the Additional or Specialist Learning undertaken within the Diploma is relevant to the subject area being studied at the University of Leicester.

L36: Leicester College

Leicester College is happy to receive applications from students with Advanced Diploma qualifications. Individual course requirements (e.g presentation of portfolio) for A+D subjects will still be required. L39: University of Lincoln

The University of Lincoln welcomes the development of the new Advanced Diplomas as an alternative route into higher education and will consider the Advanced Diplomas as an entry requirement for its undergraduate courses. Individual course requirements do vary depending on the discipline and all applicants are encouraged to visit the University's website before making an application.

L41: University of Liverpool

We welcome the development of the new 14-19 Diplomas and will consider applications from candidates offering the Advanced Diploma in the first five lines of learning for 2010 entry. Admissions tutors will want to ensure that applicants offering the Advanced Diploma have appropriate subject knowledge and study skills to prepare them for the programme they wish to study. For this reason we will consider applications on an individual basis. Some departments will accept applications only from candidates with a particular line of learning, and some will be unable to accept any of the first five Advanced Diploma lines as an entry route to their programmes. L72: LSE: London Sch of Economics (Univ of London)

Advanced Diplomas will be considered for entry 2010, in combination with at least 2 A levels in generally preferred subjects.

L75: London South Bank University

As a University whose vision focuses on the delivery of professionally-relevant degree courses, London South Bank University (LSBU) welcomes the implementation of 14-19 Diplomas, offering additional opportunities to a new range of prospective graduates who are looking for a professional pathway into higher education. Our academic staff are already involved in curriculum development with partner colleges in a number of Diploma areas, and we look forward to enhancing the alignment of the 14-19 curriculum with that of our own degree courses, as our collaborations progress.

L77: Loughborough College

Loughborough College welcomes applications from students studying for the new Advanced Diploma qualification in any of its lines of learning. For the purpose of admissions, this qualification is equivalent to A levels or corresponding points scores in BTEC National Diplomas. Offers will be made on an equivalent basis with existing level 3 qualifications, both academic and vocational. L79: Loughborough University

Loughborough University is pleased to accept the Advanced Diploma for entry to most of its undergraduate degree programmes. The University appreciates the wider skills students will achieve through Generic Learning and Extended Project, as well as specific subject-related knowledge through the Principle Learning and Additional and Specialist Learning. Some degree courses require certain subject knowledge at an advanced level, and in these cases, students will be asked to achieve an A level in an appropriate subject or a specific Diploma unit, as part of their Additional and Specialist Learning. It is also likely that grade achievement in specified individual Principle Learning units will be asked for by some degree programmes. The University will continue to review the Diploma specifications as they are released, and will publish more detailed guidelines for individual degree programmes in due course.

M10: The Manchester College (Formerly MANCAT)

Mancat welcomes the new diplomas for entry to higher education. The college is watching the development of the various diploma subjects with interest, but, in general, is currently prepared to take the level 2 diploma as equivalent to other level 2 courses and the level 3 diploma as the equivalent to other level 3 courses. Offers to students taking diplomas will be made in terms of tariff points. Students should note that the Progression Award (principal plus generic/core learning) will open access to HNCs, HNDs or FDs. Applicants should note that there are a number of courses which require certain subject knowledge at level 3, and this will need to be translated into the specialist learning component of the Advanced Diploma.

M20: University of Manchester

M80: Middlesex University

Middlesex University welcomes applications from students who are taking the new Advanced and Progression Diploma qualifications. The Diplomas provide excellent curriculum choice and educational opportunity for young people. The University regards the Advanced (level 3) Diplomas as an equivalent qualification to AGCE and AVCE and therefore satisfying the general entrance requirements for entry to an appropriate undergraduate programme. The University is working closely with schools and colleges in the development of Diploma programmes and is certain that this initiative will provide students with an ideal preparation for University studies and for future employment.

M95: Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts

At this present time, Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts will not be considering the New Advanced Diploma for entry into our HE courses.

M99: Myerscough College

Myerscough College welcomes the new Advanced Diploma as a positive route into our HE courses on its own and combined with other qualifications. This will be subject to individual course content and the grade obtained.

N21: Newcastle University

We will consider applications from candidates offering the Advanced Diploma from 2010 entry in the Phase 1 lines of learning. Admissions tutors will wish to ensure that candidates applying with the Diploma have developed subject knowledge and study skills relevant for the course for which they have applied. Admissions tutors will therefore look at each application on an individual basis. The University will continue to review all information with regard to diploma developments. We are currently reviewing the diploma specifications published by the exam boards with a view to clarifying the approach for particular subject areas and degree courses in 2008. It is likely that some degree programmes will not accept any of the Phase 1 lines of learning, others will accept the Diploma in a particular line of learning, a number will accept the Diploma but specify particular requirements in the Additional/Specialist Learning, and some may accept all the lines of learning.

O33: Oxford University

The University is currently evaluating the content of the Diplomas to assess their suitability for entry.
The Advanced Diploma in Engineering (Level 3) will be suitable for entry for Engineering Science courses at Oxford, provided candidates also obtain both an A-level in Physics and the new Level 3 Certificate in Mathematics for Engineering. These qualifications can be presented as the additional specialist learning component of the diploma. Offers will be formulated itemising performance in A-level Physics, the Level 3 certificate in Mathematics for Engineering, the Extended Project and the Principal Learning of the diploma on an equivalent basis with existing level 3 qualifications.

Oxford Brookes University welcomes the development of the new Advanced Diploma qualification, and considers the Diploma as being equivalent to existing Level 3 qualifications such as A levels. Royal Holloway recognises the importance of the UK government's 14-19 curriculum and qualification reforms, including the launch in September 2008 of the new Advanced Diploma, and has a strong commitment to recognising the achievements of students. We are not in position at this time to formally state the entry requirements for applicants holding or completing Advanced Diplomas but recognise the Diploma as a likely preparation for many undergraduate programmes.

Advanced Diplomas are part of the National Qualifications Framework, and the School will view the general standard of preparation as being equivalent to existing level 3 qualifications such as A Levels. We welcome the development of new routes and qualifications leading to higher education and we are working closely with a variety of bodies to facilitate understanding of the possibilities opened up by the new 14-19 Advanced Diplomas. We expect the Advanced (Level 3) Diploma to meet the University's minimum entrance requirement, although each course has specific entry requirements. We will therefore consider each applicant on an individual basis to ensure they have developed the subject knowledge and study skills relevant to their chosen course of study. Students may be required to take specific Additional or Specialist Learning components in order to satisfy entry requirements; for example, for entry to Engineering, we will be requiring Diploma students to demonstrate a high level of mathematical skills through, typically, a good grade in A level Maths.

S21: Sheffield Hallam University

Sheffield Hallam University welcomes the new Advanced Diploma qualification which will provide more opportunity for a wider range of potential students to progress to HE. The Diplomas provide an exciting development in education, and will offer young people, both more choice and a chance to develop subject specific skills and specialist knowledge in the initial five new Diploma lines. They will offer a viable preparation for students to progress directly to our Undergraduate programmes of study. S22: Sheffield College

Sheffield College fully supports the introduction of the new Advanced Diplomas. The University of Southampton welcomes applications from students from a wide range of educational experiences. The University acknowledges the development of the 14-19 Diploma Lines and their incorporation into the National Qualifications Framework. We consider that achievement of the Advanced Diploma at level three satisfies the University's general entry requirements. Every course has subject-specific entry requirements. Not all Diploma lines will be acceptable for entry to every discipline. Applicants are very likely to be expected to take specific Additional or Specialist Learning components of the Diploma in order to satisfy course-specific entry requirements. South Cheshire College welcomes the diploma as a means of expanding the opportunities for potential students from a broader mix of backgrounds and educational experiences to progress to higher education. We would need to ensure that the diploma sufficiently equips candidates with the skills and knowledge they need to flourish on our courses. S51: St Helens College

St Helens College has had a significant involvement in the development of the new 14 19 Specialist Diplomas as part of the St Helens borough consortium. The College thoroughly endorses them as appropriate qualifications for entry to Higher Education. The diplomas, which are offered by the College in a number of subjects at Further Education (FE) level, offer a strong provision of integrated academic education which is rigorously applied in a practical context to meet the comprehensive range of academic and skills requirements. Successful completion of the diplomas will meet the general entry requirement for the College's higher education (HE) programmes with completion of the full Diploma regarded as above the equivalent of 3 'A' levels. In terms of the UCAS Tariff we will apply the nationally agreed tariff. All students applying with the diplomas will be treated equitably alongside students applying with other qualifications.

S52: South Tyneside College

S69: Stephenson College Coalville

Stephenson College is pleased to accept the Advanced Diploma for entry to most of its higher education programmes. The College appreciates the wider skills students will achieve through Generic Learning and Extended Project, as well as specific subject-related knowledge through the Principle, Additional and Specialist Learning. Some courses require certain subject knowledge at an advanced level, and in these cases, students will be asked to achieve an A level or equivalent in an appropriate subject or a specific Diploma unit, as part of their Additional and Specialist Learning. It is also likely that grade achievement in specified individual Principle Learning units will be asked for by some higher education programmes. The College will continue to review the Diploma specifications as they are released, and will publish more detailed guidelines for individual programmes in due course.

S72: Staffordshire University

T40: Thames Valley University

Thames Valley University recognises the equivalence of level 3 Advanced Diplomas and Progression Diplomas to A-levels, as indicated by UCAS tariff values, which can therefore satisfy the general requirements for entry to an undergraduate programme. Specific requirements will depend on the subjects applied for, and for some programmes particular Additional/Specialised Learning may be specified. The university welcomes the opportunity that the Extended Project will give applicants to demonstrate their creativity and their abilities to learn independently, to communicate and to collaborate.

Totton College welcomes applications from students studying the Diploma for entry onto our HE courses.

T80: Trinity College Carmarthen

Trinity College welcomes applications from Advanced Diploma students for entry onto the majority of its undergraduate programmes. Applicants are advised to check the Entry Requirements for individual programmes or contact Registry on registry@trinity-cm.ac.uk.

T85: Truro and Penwith College (Formerly Truro College)

Advanced Diplomas will be considered that are relevant to the degree course. Some degrees may require A levels in addition to a Diploma. Information will be updated on our website as we come to a decision about particular degree courses.

T90: Tyne Metropolitan College

TyneMet will welcome the applications from those who have undertaken the new Advanced Diplomas in a subject relevant to their chosen course of study. We recognise the benefits of applied learning and employer involvement as a positive preparation to study at HE level and will assess each application on an individual basis. Specific requirements will depend on the exact programme applied for. Specific Additional/Specialised Learning may be required.

U20: University of Ulster

Whilst the University is currently examining the new Diploma qualification, it is likely to regard it favourably as an acceptable entry qualification.Issues such as the relevance of the subject of the Diploma remain relevant where a course publicises specific subject requirements.

U65: University of the Arts London

The University of the Arts London welcomes the development of the new Diplomas as a route into higher education and will consider applicants with a Level 3 Diploma for entry to its undergraduate courses.

U80: University College London (University of London)

UCL recognises the potential of the Diplomas both to broaden educational opportunities for young people and encourage the development of a range of skills. As such, UCL is pleased to consider students studying an Advanced Diploma qualification which includes two A-Levels in the additional/specialist learning component.

U95: Uxbridge College

Uxbridge College welcomes applications from students studying the new 14-19 Level 3 Advanced Diploma qualifications. The Diplomas will provide an excellent preparation for study on to the College's HND and Foundation degree courses. The College will consider applicants presenting the Advanced Diploma qualification for appropriate higher education courses. W08: Wakefield College

Wakefield College considers the Advanced (level 3) Diplomas as being an equivalent level qualification to A levels and therefore satisfying the general entrance requirements for entry to an undergraduate programme. Specific requirements will depend on the exact program applied for. Specific Additional/Specialized Learning may be required. Diploma candidates should consult the Addmissions staff to check that their Diploma is suitable for their chosen program and that they are taking any required options.

W12: Walsall College

Walsall College considers the Advanced (level 3) Diplomas as being an equivalent level qualification to A levels and therefore satisfying the general entrance requirements for entry to an undergraduate programme. Specific requirements will depend on the exact program applied for. Specific Additional/Specialized Learning may be required. An interview with the relevant Admissions Tutor will also be required.

W17: Warrington Collegiate

Warrington Collegiate welcomes the new 14-19 Diplomas and will consider the Advanced Diploma equally and individually with other level 3 qualifications for 2010 entry. Further advice on specific requirements is available from Learner Services.

W20: The University of Warwick

Applicants who successfully achieve the new Advanced Diploma (level 3) will be considered for entry onto Warwick degrees in closely related subjects. To meet the standard entry requirements applicants may need to take specific Additional and Specialised Learning options. The whole applicant profile will be taken into consideration and judged on its own merit. W25: Warwickshire College

The new Diplomas are welcomed. We expectthat these will be accepted as entry requirements to all appropriate HE courses.

W29: Welsh College of Horticulture

The Welsh College Of Horticulture will welcome applications from people taking the new 14-19 Diplomas. We expect that these will be accepted as entry requirements to all appropriate HE courses. Certain courses may have specific subject requirements.

W40: West Herts College, Watford

West Herts College is looking forward to receiving applications from Advanced Diploma students for courses starting in 2010. The College supports the development of Diploma courses in the region.

W50: University of Westminster

Applicants who successfully achieve the new Advanced or Extended Diploma (level 3) will be considered for entry onto degrees in closely related subjects. For entry into other subjects, the whole applicant profile will be taken into consideration and judged on its own merit. Admissions tutors will wish to ensure that candidates applying with the Diploma have developed subject knowledge and study skills relevant for the course for which they have applied. The university will continue to review all information with regard to Diploma developments.

W67: Wigan and Leigh College

Wigan and Leigh College fully endorses the new diploma pathways and recognises the importance of the personal, learning and thinking skills they provide for progression to Higher Education. The courses offered at the College will build on the work-related element of the new diplomas, to prepare students for employment. From 2008, learners undertaking the Advanced Diplomas will have the same progression opportunities as those learners undertaking A levels, BTECs and other level 3 provision, in relevant subject areas. W73: Wirral Metropolitan College

Wirral Metropolitan College Confirms that the following arrangements are suitable for applicants who have undertaken 14-19 Diploma pathway for entry on to Higher National Diplomas, Foundation Degree or Degree Programmes.

W74: Wiltshire College

Wiltshire College welcomes applications from candidates studying the 14-19 Advanced (Level 3) Diploma. In due course we expect to be able to consider applicants presenting this qualification for the full range of courses we offer, provided that the subject of the Advanced Diploma is relevant to the degree programme applied for. W75: University of Wolverhampton

From September 2008 a considerable number of 14-19 year olds will be studying for the new 14-19 Diplomas throughout England. The University of Wolverhampton is delighted to welcome applications from students who have completed the Diplomas at an appropriate level. We consider the new Diplomas to be a valuable and valid progression route that will equip students well for working and studying at HE level, as well as preparing entrants for the world of work. We look forward to welcoming entrants who follow this route to the University.

W76: University of Winchester

The University welcomes the introduction of the new diplomas in schools and colleges later this year and we will be happy to consider applications from students taking these qualifications for entry to our degree programmes in September 2010 onwards. The University also very much values the Extended Project and its role in preparing students for a successful higher education experience. We are therefore supportive of the requirement for Diploma students to undertake an Extended Project as part of their Diploma programme and also other students who undertake this in addition to A-level, or equivalent, programmes.

W80: University of Worcester

The University of Worcester welcomes the new Advanced Diplomas as a suitable alternative to the traditional A level route into HE courses. Applications will be accepted from Advanced Diploma students for entry to many undergraduate programmes, both related HE courses at foundation degree and honours degree level, and other courses in the university. W81: Worcester College of Technology

Worcester College of Technology supports the introduction of the new Advanced Diplomas. This will enhance the opportunities for level three students to study these new vocational routes as an alternative to A levels. The applied learning content of these diplomas will particularly appeal to existing vocational level two students. The Advanced Diploma will provide a progression route through to the College's wide range of Foundation Degrees and other HE programmes with our partners in the Lifelong Learning Network.

W85: Writtle College

Writtle College welcomes applications from students studying the new 14-19 Diploma qualifications. It anticipates that the vocational nature of the Diplomas will provide an excellent preparation for study on many of its courses.
