Q. How do I register for a UCAS Card?
A: Simply log on to www.ucas.com/ucascard and select student register. You'll be asked to complete a short registration form on the screen.

Q. Does it cost anything?
A: No, the UCAS Card is FREE.

Q. What if I live outside of the UK?
A: The UCAS Card is only available for students in the UK however overseas students can find information about the UCAS application process and higher education by clicking here.

Q. If I lose my card can I get another one?
A: No, unfortunately we are unable to reproduce your UCAS Card, therefore, we ask you to take extra care of your card. Make a separate note of your unique number and use this number to keep logging onto the UCAS Card website so you can continue to benefit from educational information, entertainment news, great competitions, special offers and the UCAS Card forums.

Q. Can I change the details on my card?
A: No, once your UCAS Card has been produced we are unable to change the details on it.

Q. Can I change the details which you hold for me?
A: Yes, you can update your details in the 'manage details' section of the website which is password protected.

Q. I don't want to receive mail or emails from third parties wanting to sell things to me. Will my details be passed onto them anyway?
A: When you register you are able to opt in or out of receiving correspondence from third parties. If you opt out of receiving correspondence we will not pass your details onto third parties.

Q. When I registered I was interested in studying a subject which I no longer want to do. I now would like to receive information on another subject which interests me; can I change this?
A: Yes, you can change your study preferences in the 'manage details' secure section of the website which is password protected.

Teachers

Q. How do I know which of my students have registered?
A: If you log onto www.ucas.com/ucascard, select adviser log in and click on 'manage details'. You can see which of your students have registered and also look at their registration details.

Q. Can I change their details, i.e. their interests?
A: No, the information the students provide can only be changed by the student. However if you do not approve of their registration you can alert us by completing the form with your reasons in the 'manage details' area of the site.

Q. How many teachers/advisers can sign up per school?
A: Any teacher or adviser who has the log on details and the staff only UCAS Card password can log on to the UCAS Card website.

Q. Can we provide feedback and suggestions as to how the UCAS Card site can better suit both teacher and student needs?
