Setting up for 2018

We’ll soon be opening our 2018 services. The key dates you need to be aware of are:

  • 9 May – our new search tool goes live
  • 16 May – Apply for advisers opens
  • 23 May – Apply for applicants opens

Usernames and passwords for Apply for advisers will be sent to the primary contact at registered centres:

  • 2 May 2017 – for EU and International centres
  • 8 May 2017 – for centres in Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland
  • 11 May 2017 – for centres in England

Due to the annual sending of logins and passwords to existing registered centres, we are in an embargo period from 12 April – 11 May. This means no registered centre forms will be processed during this time. We will resume normal service after this period.

The adviser fundamentals

If you’re new to your role in advising applicants, or have little experience of the UCAS application cycle, this is the training for you.

What’s on offer?

This training day has been designed to help introduce you to the world of UCAS, and applications to higher education. It will provide you with an easy to digest hands-on understanding of relevant practices, processes, key dates, and resources.

Objectives of the session include:

  • learning about the various stages of the UCAS application cycle, and what you and your applicants need to do at specific times of the year
  • looking at research tools, and how these can help your applicants make the right choices
  • gaining an overview of what's required in the applicant's reference and personal statement
  • finding out how we can support you and your students
