Our Schools Team will be unavailable from 11:25 until 14:00 on Tuesday 24 April, due to staff training.
As an adviser, the idea of giving information, advice, and guidance to students hoping to progress to higher education may seem daunting.
Our training sessions are an excellent way to get in-depth information about the UK higher education application process, and a great way to build your confidence and competence in helping your students.
All our training and presentations are delivered by a team of UCAS professionals with a wealth of experience — so you’ll be sure to get the best possible advice.
The Adviser Fundamentals
New to your role in advising applicants? Very little or no prior experience of UCAS? Then this is the training for you.
This one-day session has been designed to help introduce you to the world of UCAS and higher education applications. It will provide you with an understanding of key dates, processes, and resources available to you – all the fundamental information you need to get you through the cycle.
Come to one of our selected training days to gain confidence in using Apply.
The day starts by running through the screens your students will complete. The focus then turns to managing the staff area of Apply, including how to approve applications and add that all-important reference.
UCAS comes to you
We offer a number of different options to schools and colleges seeking in-situ training for their staff, or a speaker for an event.
Given our pivotal role, we can bring to life the many factors that impact on making a successful application to higher education. What’s more, we are happy to travel throughout the UK to deliver presentations and training to schools, colleges, and careers companies, and at conferences — to cover whatever topics you want to hear about.
Training for international advisers
Are you advising international or EU students applying to higher education in the UK?
Then our introductory training session is designed for you – providing you with the knowledge and resources required to confidently help your students throughout the application process.
Free online training
We understand that getting time to go out to training sessions can be difficult. Why not try our free online training — available whenever and wherever suits you best.
