Planned maintenance: 19 – 20 January

We are carrying out planned maintenance on Friday 19 January and Saturday 20 January. This means at times, you may become disconnected from Apply for advisers.

Please do not make any changes to applications during the following times:

  • 07:30 – 08:00 on Friday 19 January
  • 14:00 – 15:00 on Saturday 20 January

Please be aware that UCAS Undergraduate Apply may also become disconnected – we’re advising applicants to avoid making changes to their applications at the times listed above.

Apply for advisers will be unavailable between 06:00 – 13:00 on Saturday 20 January.

UCAS Undergraduate Track will also be unavailable between 09:00 – 11:00 on Saturday 20 January.

The adviser international

Are you advising international and EU students applying to higher education in the UK?

This introductory training session is designed to help those of you advising international and EU applicants, by providing the knowledge and resources required to confidently help your students throughout the application process.

It's delivered throughout the academic year, by experienced and engaging UCAS professionals. It offers a great networking opportunity, with a wide range of delegates in attendance – from international school-based advisers and independent counsellors, to agents working on behalf of UCAS universities and colleges, and international foundation year staff.

Please note: UCAS cannot give formal accreditation to any education agents.

10:00 Arrival, registration, and refreshments.
10:30 Welcome and introduction – get to know your hosts and fellow delegates.
10:45 Research matters – familiarise yourself with the tools available to help international applicants make informed decisions about where and what to study in the UK.
11:45 The applicant journey – helping you fully understand the journey each applicant takes, and the complete UCAS application process.
12:45 Lunch (provided by UCAS). 
13:30 Top tips for references and personal statements – the key requirements and considerations of both.

Resources and tools for advisers  a detailed look at UCAS' resources, to help you support your students’ research and applications.

There’ll also be activities to reinforce your understanding of everything covered during the day, and an opportunity to ask questions.

15:00 Close and departure.
