Introductions - The Trials of a Law Student

I'm a Law student. A student of the Law.

This means that I read books (lots of books), learn about the law, learn how to apply the law, and learn to critique all of the above.

What it also means is that I am hyperactively trying to balance my academics with preparation for my career, with my love for creative writing, and with my extra-curricular activities and social life. It means there are plenty of late nights and early mornings (rushing to the coach so that I can go to London for an open day); a dash of frantic preparation for mooting and some disastrous telephone interviews.

For me, university is all about new experiences and taking advantage of every opportunity that comes by. I love being busy. I love having a full schedule; getting home and being so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open, but knowing that I have done what I needed to do. I love that sense of accomplishment and this is what drives me.

Over, at least, the next year, I will post about my experiences as a law student at the University of Bristol, offering tips and amusing stories along the way. Thank you for reading, I hope you come along for the ride.
