Looking at applying to study Medicine at university? Join Karen Grant, (Director of Admissions and Deputy of Medical Studies) to find out why medical schools expect applicants to engage in relevant work experience and to explore alternative ways in which applicants can demonstrate the skills, values and attributes that medical schools are looking for in an application. Health care experience is a key part of the application and Medical Schools understand that the COVID- 19 pandemic has made it even more difficult for medical school applicants to arrange relevant experience in healthcare. They are aware that the opportunities open to applicants have been affected by the pandemic and will take this into account when assessing applicants for 2021 entry and beyond.
