Wed 28 October 2020 - 17:30 to 18:30

We know that the process of applying for university can be daunting, not just for students but for their parents and carers as well. If your child is applying to start university in September 2021 and you feel like you need a little bit of guidance to be able to support them, then this is the session for you.

In this session we'll break down the stages of the university application and admissions process and discuss ways you can support your child as they make decisions about what and where to study. We'll also discuss what having a child at university will mean for you.

We'll touch on the interview and portfolio/audition process for creative institutions such as Falmouth, and we'll run through some of our tops tips on how you can support your child when they arrive at university. This will include getting ready to leave home, moving in day, managing money at university, part-time jobs, dealing with homesickness, making friends and where to go for help. It's also an opportunity for you to ask us any questions you may have and, hopefully, find some reassurance.
