You will have the opportunity to view the training facilities, get one-to-one advice on your options and find out about placements within our partnership of secondary schools.
Southfields Academy Teaching School SCITT has many years of ITT experience, both as an accredited Provider in its own right and as a Lead School, so training is genuinely school-based and school-led. We currently offer:
- a School Direct Salaried programme leading to QTS;
- a School Direct Tuition Fee programme with our university partners, leading to a PGCE and QTS;
- placements for university PGCE trainees.
We have a friendly, experienced team able to provide our trainees with a high level of personalised support.
You may arrive at any time during the drop-in session, but please email the Teaching School in advance so that we know to expect you and the reception arrangements run smoothly. Entry is via the Aspire entrance on Merton Road (by the zebra crossing).
We are very conveniently located. The nearest underground station is Southfields (District Line), the nearest rail station is Earlsfield and the 156 bus (Vauxhall to Wimbledon and vice versa) stops outside the academy.
