Does white-collar crime matter?‘.
Science says climate change and global warming are heating and freezing the planet. Can corporations and their directors and chief executive officers be held to account if they pollute the atmosphere, the ocean, the landscape with CO2 and waste? Can governments be held to account if they breach a duty of care toward young people whose wellbeing may be threatened?
White collar crime (crimes carried out by the rich and powerful, the people in suits) may be applied to environmental acts that threaten the Earth. Exploring the possibility through cases in the UK, the Netherlands, France, the US and Australia provides an international feast of how the law might work.

Join us on campus to discover our unique teaching and get a taste of what it is like to be a Computing student at Buckingham.
Theme: The power of data visualisation

Visualisation is a tool that can help us to make sense of complex data and present it in a clear and efficient way. It can aid in decision-making and drive insights. In this lecture, the audience will learn about the power of data visualisation through examples, and how we can create interactive graphs.
