An accident and emergency (A&E) department must always be at the ready to receive and treat patients in life-threatening emergencies. In this taster lecture, you will become a virtual member of an A&E team as they use medicines to stabilize two patients who require urgent medical attention. You will find out how medicines work in the treatment of conditions, the challenges of giving medicines that need to work immediately to save lives and discover clinical pharmacology, the science of developing new medicines for use in healthcare.
