Psychology Taster Tutorial - Researcher for a day.

We are delighted to announce the date of this annual day of research for those interested in studying Psychology at university. We are looking for Year 12 or 13 pupils who are really interested in taking Psychology as their degree subject. If you are in year 12 or 13, you can attend individually or with your school (max group of 8 Year 12 A-level Psychology pupils). This is a great opportunity for prospective students to see the Psychology degree in action and you will be working with our lecturers and PG researchers on the following:

The 4 main research designs covered as part of the AQA A level curriculum:
• Interviews

And the 4 main data analysis techniques covered as part of the AQA A level curriculum:
•Chi Square
•Thematic Analysis

You will also be able to:
•Meet the lecturers who teach on the course
•See how our small group teaching encourages learning
•Chat to postgraduates who will also describe the impact of gaining a Psychology degree at the University of Buckingham has had on their lives.
•You can find out what it’s like to be a student at Buckingham and how our students are finding the unique 2-year programme.
•Add this experience to your Personal Statement for UCAS to show your motivation to study Psychology.

Please be aware that you will need to attend for all 6 hours to complete the day. There is no charge for this event. Teachers are welcome to observe/join in.

Places are limited and will be confirmed on a first come, first served basis.

A Psychology degree represents a tremendous opportunity for personal and career development and attending a taster will allow you to gain some insight into how well we structure our degree to enhance the success of our students.
