Biology with a Foundation Year
Biology is the science of life and is at the forefront of social change, from the use of genetically modified organisms to humanity's effect on the environment, sustainable energy and food production. At Kent you'll gain the skills, knowledge and support to help build a better tomorrow.

You study living organisms and their interactions with the environment, investigating life forms ranging from viruses and bacteria to complex animals and plants. You'll learn from inspirational academics working at the cutting-edge of research with access to fantastic facilities.

Foundation Year
This is an excellent conversion course for applicants who don't meet the academic requirements for direct entry but have shown academic ability in non-science subjects.

Our Biology degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB).

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MMP

Access to HE Diploma

The University welcomes applications from Access to Higher Education Diploma candidates for consideration. A typical offer may require you to obtain a proportion of Level 3 credits in relevant subjects at merit grade or above.

Scottish Higher

Scottish Higher qualifications are considered on an individual basis.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme - 24 points

24 points in the IB Diploma or 80 UCAS Tariff points including either a HL Science subject, Sport, Psychology or Maths at 4 or SL Science subject, Sport, Psychology or Maths at 6

GCSE/National 4/National 5

Applicants should have grade C or 4 in Mathematics GCSE or a suitable equivalent level qualification.

T Level - P

overall in Science with C or more in the core

English language requirements
