What is MPharm Pharmacy?

Modules

Course Modules

In Year 1, you will cover the foundations of pharmacy, undertaking modules such as Life Sciences Chemistry and Foundations in Pharmacy Practice. In your second year, you will engage in more complex topics such as Neurophysiology, Synaptic Pharmacology and Endocrinology. In Year 3, you will develop your pharmaceutical and clinical knowledge undertaking modules such as optimising Patient Care through Pharmacy and Evidence-Based Care of Cardiovascular and Renal Disease. In your final year, you will be able to use the previously learned knowledge in complex situations for the benefit of patients. Modules include Pharmaceuticals Research Project and Clinical Therapeutics of the Central Nervous System.

MPharm Pharmacy GCSE Requirements: GCSE English Language grade 4 or C and GCSE Mathematics grade 5 or B.

MPharm Pharmacy with a Preparatory Year GCSE Requirements: GCSE English Language grade 4 or C and GCSE Mathematics grade 4 or C.

Health Checks
Applicants will be subject to a satisfactory occupational health check including evidence of appropriate immunisations. Failure to meet the placement vaccination policy may prevent you from joining the course or may lead to your withdrawal from the course in the future. Future employment may also be subject to this condition.
Interview
Applicants must pass an interview.

Tuition fees are reviewed annually and subject to increase. Some fees are regulated by the UK government and will be changed in line with advice from them. Fees for continuing students (i.e. those on courses of greater than one year in length) will normally increase annually.
