University of Hertfordshire - Undergraduate Open Day

This distinctive 4-year Optometry degree programme at the University of Hertfordshire integrates theory, science and practice from year one. Across all 4 years students will focus on achieving parallel success: as a professional clinician and as a scientist. One of the ways this course so unique is, it is the first Optometry degree with incorporation and involvement with the College of Optometrists. This allows us to include the pre-registration year within this 4 year masters programme, meaning that upon completion of your degree you will be a registered Optometrist. Students will also have early exposure to clinical practice, which will facilitate the integration of scientific knowledge, evidence and practice. This innovative approach will enable students to be competent, confident, safe and employable practitioners at the point of graduation. This will be achieved by using innovative methods of clinical assessments, including simulation, to embed evidence-based practice.
Professionally accredited courses provide industry-wide recognition of the quality of your qualification.
