Hi there! I have just finished my second year in Primary Education. I am looking forward to my first teaching post after finishing the degree! I commute to university every day and spend my spare time tutoring students for their GCSEs! I have an interest in reading and travelling. I aspire to teach abroad and learn more teaching approaches as I go along. The experiences I have already received from this course are amazing and make me feel so excited to have my own class to teach! This could include a job in teaching or in any other education setting or environment. I have numerous hobbies such a Football and I often go down to Swansea and watch my team play. I also play county darts and have a real passion for the sport. I also love the social life in university and meeting new people and trying out different things! It's a very fun experience!

Hi, I’m Alexia! I’m a second year student in my undergraduate degree (including a placement year), working as a student ambassador for BU.

I have Portuguese parents but I was born in the UK, so I am more fluent in English but I can hold a good conversation in Portuguese :]. 

In the future, I want to become a counselling psychologist/therapist and also pursue music in some form (although that bit isn’t planned out yet lol). I have 2 Mainecoon cats and practice a variety of sports and musical instruments, including kickboxing and piano. It’ll be tough to balance everything this year but I’m determined to stay healthy and happy throughout my degree and make the most out of the social aspect of uni!

Hello! 👋 I'm Alice, a student at the University of Essex currently pursuing an integrated masters in Tropical Marine Biology. I'm thrilled to be a part of the Unibuddy community as a Student Ambassador, where I can share my unique journey and experiences with you.

Beyond the academic realm, I have a deep passion for invertebrates in the sea, including jellyfish and other odd looking creatures! Extra-curricular activities are where I find balance between academia and fun. Squash, running and scuba diving are sports that I truly enjoy. The thrill of a competitive squash match or the serenity of a long run along the coastline are experiences I cherish.

Future Career Plan:

As I progress through my academic journey, my ultimate goal is to contribute significantly to the field of marine biology.
