Student life

As a specialist provider we are home to a small close-knit student community. Our students benefit from a supportive environment and develop strong friendships and support networks, including with students from other year groups, which last them throughout their professional lives.

Our student population is also a mix of first-time undergraduates and those returning to education from careers in professional sports, other healthcare professions, dance, and numerous other fields. This creates a diverse community where students can often learn from each others experiences.

The UCO Students' Union run the student bar and plan a range of social events and activities, both at the UCO and at the many bars, venues, parks and open spaces London has to offer. Clubs and societies change dependent on student demand and interests, and the there also a number of groups to support specific UCO commuities, including women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, interfaith, black and those with disabilites.

Campus and facilities

The UCO is a small specialist University College based in Central London. Our campus consists of our teaching site, situated just a stone's throw from London Bridge and the River Thames, and our dedicated teaching clinic located a five minute walk away.

Our teaching clinic is a purpose built space and is the largest one of its kind in Europe. It has 35 treatment rooms and welcomes a diverse range of patients from across London and beyond. The Clinic also runs a number of specialist onsite and community clinics, including one at a nearby GP practice, one at the Royal Free Hospital and one at a community hub for older people. The Clinic provides a professional environment for UCO students to complete their clinical training without the need for external placements.

Our teaching site is home to our lecture theatre, practical facilities for teaching osteopathic technique, the UCO Learning Hub, virtual reality suite, recording facilities, student bar and quiet and group study spaces.
