Wednesday 3 March Jack Parsons: Becoming an award-winning CEO in his early 20s |
Jack became CEO of The Youth Group in 2018. His career kicked off by taking a photo of two coffee cups. He’s now known as the UK’s Chief Youth Officer and has been named as the Most Connected Young Entrepreneur. In this session Jack takes us through his journey as a self-starter, sharing the challenges he’s had to overcome, and offering you advice as you research your options. He’ll also be taking some of your questions, live! |

We’ll hear from young people working in the companies, how they successfully got the job, what they do now and what their future holds. Meet the speakers…
Jack
25 year-old Jack is an award-winning young entrepreneur, CEO and founder of the Youth Group, and is known as the UK’s Chief Youth Officer. You may have seen Jack on BBC radio, London Business Awards, BBC’s Stacey Dooley’s Nine to Five, and more. Jack’s mission is to known down doors for young people to walk through and is doing just that with his youth first business that provides young people with the tools they really need to get ahead and grow in work.

Bobbi
Bobbi is a Journalism student at University Academy 92 in Manchester (UA92). She found out about UA92 at a UCAS Fair held at The University of Hull. She is currently in my second year at UA92 and works as a newspaper correspondent alongside her degree. Bobbi will be part of the student panel on Monday’s live.
Rosie
Rosie is currently in her second year studying for a BSc in Psychology at Durham University. As part of her degree, she has chosen to undertake a professional placement next year, which is a great option for students who want both an academic and real-world working experience. Rosie will be live on Monday sharing her experience.
Tasmia
Tasmia is a Civil Service Apprentice, doing a Level 4 Business Admin (framework) apprenticeship. Outside of her role, she is one of the organisation's Mental Health First Aiders, and a committee member for the Group for Ethnic Minorities (GEMs) Network. She is also one of the Highly Commended Apprentices at the BAME Apprenticeship Awards 2020. She is passionate about encouraging a wider uptake of apprenticeships, from school leavers to career-changers and beyond, which she advocates for as a member of Young Apprenticeships Ambassadors' Network (YAAN).
