This session will briefly explain the process of applying to medical courses through UCAS. It will cover admissions tests, the deadlines and processes involved in applying to these courses, and what providers look for when considering an application.
Delegates will learn about:
- how to inform, support, and encourage young people to consider medicine as a career
- subject requirements
- admissions tests
- work experience
- interviews, including the multiple mini interview (MMI)
- outreach programmes and access routes
- typical offers
- routes and qualifications
- personal statements
- how admissions officers differentiate between strong applicants
