Personal statements – what do universities really look for?

Tuesday 5 February 2019 13:00 – 13:50

Summary

Open to all

The personal statement is arguably the most important part of the UCAS application – this session aims to highlight the key things to remember when advising students on how to write their own, including dos and don’ts, and hints and tips for language, phrases, and content that could make the difference between your students getting an offer or not. We aim to provide a comprehensive toolkit for school guidance and careers counsellors to impart to their students on how to truly write a standout personal statement!

Learning outcomes:

  • Attendees will leave the session with a toolkit to help them advise UCAS applicants of the best way to prepare for and write their personal statement.
