The Annual Conference for Teachers and Advisers 2019

Sharon has worked at the University of Derby for 14 years in the Institute of Education as a Senior Lecturer and Manager, across a wide range of programmes in Initial Teacher Education and Childhood Studies Programmes. With a background as a teaching professional in school, Sharon is passionate about supporting the development of a highly skilled, well supported, young workforce. Research has been undertaken in areas such as personal tutoring in higher education, and learning and teaching beyond the classroom. Sharon is currently involved in research on the transition from schools and colleges into higher education, with the aim of supporting its effectiveness for all.
