Summary
The phased introduction of general and vocational qualification reform means significant numbers of students will continue to present mixed and new profiles for the next few cycles. This session will explore the impact of qualification reform, and consider ways to provide support going forwards. We will be looking at upcoming changes across the UK for 2019 and beyond, with a particular focus on GCSE reforms including:
- general qualification reform update, including the GCSE survey results and other work in this area
- an open discussion about what went well in 2018, and improvements that can be made
- how providers are preparing for 2019
- questions and concerns for the future of qualifications in the UK, and how UCAS and the sector can work together to support students in 2019 and beyond
