Student wellbeing and mental health: supporting successful transition

Monday 8 April 2019 15:45 - 16:35
Presentation – information giving, with time for questions
Open to all

Summary

Student wellbeing and mental health is most vulnerable at times of transition, particularly for those entering their first year of higher education.

Between them, delegates at the Admissions Conference represent people who are uniquely positioned across the students’ transition landscape, who together with parents and carers, want to better prepare all students, particularly vulnerable young people, to successfully transition to higher education.

Hear from experts about how you can enable and support this preparation, and create a bridge between home, school, and university life.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand the key challenges students encounter, and how they can be better prepared.
  • Hear about how providers are supporting and helping students to successfully navigate university life, and how they can access the support they may need.
  • Find out how UCAS is supporting student wellbeing and mental health.
