What makes us different

In-demand graduates

Every year, many students spend part of their course gaining practical insight into the working world, thanks to placements.

Community

The RAU is large enough that facilities are on-site, yet small enough to create a close-knit community.

World-leading research

Over half the research carried out by the RAU has been assessed as 'world-leading and international in quality by the Research Excellence Framework.

Inspiring enterprise

We have been made a Centre of Excellence by the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs.

Active alumni network

Students will be joining the 17,000-strong global alumni network, many of whom also act as mentors.

Social life

The RAU has an active Student Union, who are always busy developing fantastic activities, societies, clubs and social events.

Royal seal of approval

His Majesty King Charles III, then His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, became President in 1982 and has previously presented awards to students at graduation.

“The RAU gave me the tools I need in the future to run a successful and sustainable business, as well as looking at the bigger global picture. Now I’m putting my academic learning and hands-on training together".
