Annual Admissions Conference 2018

The Annual Admissions Conference is a great opportunity for us to come together to discuss, explore, and better understand the challenges and opportunities facing the HE sector, student recruitment, and admissions.

Welcome to the 2018 Annual Admissions Conference, celebrating UCAS’ silver anniversary. It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to come together, to debate and explore the shared challenges and opportunities facing our sector in 2018 and beyond.

The theme of this year’s conference is collaboration and change. The programme has been developed with admissions colleagues, to ensure more interactive sessions, and increased input from higher education providers.

There will be sessions covering admissions, marketing, and technology – giving a breadth of options for all delegates. As usual, there will be several facilitated panels where we’ll hear from teachers and advisers, applicants, and for the first time, parents, all keen to share their journeys through the HE admissions process.

The theme of collaboration and change flows through the breakout sessions, with many workshops demonstrating cross-sector collaborative approaches, and admissions professionals sharing good practice in managing admissions in a changing environment. We also have shorter information sharing sessions, plus the networking opportunities we know are always highly valued by delegates.

Whether you’re a newcomer, or you have enjoyed attending the event throughout its 25 years, I do hope you can join me at what will be my first conference as Chief Executive of UCAS. My colleagues and I are very much looking forward to welcoming you to the event.

Clare Marchant, Chief Executive, UCAS
