Vicki’s background in teaching has taken her to both the UK and Australia, giving her exposure to two different education systems and curriculums. Since leaving the traditional classroom Vicki moved into an operations role, where she managed a large wrap-around-school-care programme in Australia, with a focus on wider curriculum attainment and wellbeing. On returning to the UK her passion to support young people through driving positive change led her to the National Citizen Service, where she worked as a program lead encouraging young people to engage in social action, develop independence and build essential skills. Since 2018 Vicki has worked as a Social Impact Manager for Unite Students to develop strategy and drive engagement in responsible business practices with a focus on supporting young people within communities.
