Carl is an education professional with 18 years experience in FE and HE.  He gained his degree from Durham University as a mature student and subsequently trained as a teacher, achieving his PGCE in 2013.  He was also awarded the Lifelong Learner Achievement Award by OCN in 2014. 

Carl’s teaching roles included Functional Skills English and later the development and delivery of Level 3 Access to HE History, full time and part time provision.  However, he has spent much of the last decade supporting apprenticeships in the Further Education sector, for Middlesbrough College/Northern Skills Group, and now in Higher Education for Teesside University Business School.
