UCAS Conference 2025 - Shaping UCAS' Next Chapter

Rory Grant is Head of Data Science and Engineering at UCAS. He leads teams working across data engineering, analytics and data science, supporting both UCAS’s public‑benefit mission and its commercial activity. His work focuses on using data and decision science to improve how organisations make choices—whether that’s informing national policy and sector insight, or developing practical machine‑learning tools for services like marketing, recommendation and forecasting.

Before joining UCAS, Rory held senior data and pricing roles in financial services, where he applied similar approaches to commercial decision‑making. Across sectors, his common thread has been turning complex data into clear, usable insight that people can actually act on.
