Course summary

Considering a marketing career? Think you’ve got what it takes to be a business leader? Our Business and Marketing Management programme with a Foundation Year will develop your expertise in both areas while discovering what it means to think as an entrepreneur and act as a marketing leader.

From consumer behaviour to consultancy, our core modules are designed to cover all the key areas of marketing management and business. A range of optional modules allow you to specialise in 1 of the 2 areas, such as focusing on leadership or looking into omnichannel marketing.

When you’re not learning from our experts in the lecture theatre you may be in our Marketing and Social Media Lab, equipped with everything from the latest industry-standard tools like Brandwatch to essential software like Adobe Creative Cloud.

To give you the best chance of success, we talked to a range of employers about what skills they look for when recruiting graduates. We work with our partners, including JVCKENWOOD UK, to set live briefs so you know what to expect in your first role and put theory into practice.

Contextual admissions

Universities and colleges consider more than grades when assessing applications and may make offers based on a range of criteria. Learn more about contextual offers.

Oxford Brookes University aims to provide equitable access to students with the potential to succeed. To achieve this, we make a holistic assessment, considering qualifications and experience in the context of personal and educational background. We make offers based on the evidence we can see of the skills and abilities required for success and show flexibility in our confirmation of a place, where there is evidence to show that grades may not fully represent future potential.
