Sport and Exercise Science is becoming one of the most popular subjects for undergraduates and provides excellent career opportunities. Advances in the sports industry and the growth of competition have made a scientific approach to sport fundamental to monitoring and improving performance.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDM

Scottish Higher - BBBCC

To include a Grade B from one of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Maths, PE, Physics, Sport Studies, Double Award Applied Science or Sport Science and Leisure Industry.

Scottish Advanced Higher - CCC

To include a Grade C from one of the following: Biology, Chemistry, Maths, PE, Physics, Sport Studies, Double Award Applied Science or Sport Science and Leisure Industry.

Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)

120 UCAS tariff points to include a minimum of five subjects (four of which must be at Higher Level) to include English at H6 if studied at Higher Level or O4 if studied at Ordinary Level. Course Specific Subject requirements: This course also requires you to achieve H2 in two of the following subjects: Physical Education, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics or Physics & Chemistry If Mathematics or one science subject are not passed at H2 you will be required to achieve a minimum of H6 or O4 in addition to H2 in two of the subjects above.

GCSE/National 4/National 5

For full-time study, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements for admission to a first degree course and hold a GCSE pass at Grade C/4 or above in English Language, Mathematics and one Science subject. Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Communication will be accepted as equivalent to GCSE English. Please note however that for purposes of entry to this course the Level 2 Certificate in Essential Skills - Application of Number is NOT regarded as an acceptable alternative to GCSE Maths.

HNC (BTEC) - D

Pass HNC in Sport or Science (as accepted by the University) with overall Distinction to include Distinctions in ALL Level 4 credits.

HND (BTEC) - D

Pass HND in Sport or Science (as accepted by the University) with overall Distinction to include 90 Distinctions in Level 5 credits.

OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - DDM
