This professionally focussed master’s programme is designed for qualified Speech and Language Therapists or those with relevant professional experience. It integrates theoretical and research knowledge with reflections on clinical practice.
Delivered online, using a variety of interactive methods, it provides you with a qualification that is highly regarded both professionally and academically.
You will be encouraged to think in new ways about disorders of language, communication and swallowing through exploring and critically analysing developments in theory and clinical practice. You will develop knowledge and skills that can be applied across different language and cultural contexts.
A mix of core and elective modules will allow you to build your professional knowledge while also pursuing your own particular areas of interest. The flexible modular structure allows you to work to postgraduate certificate, postgraduate diploma or full master’s level.
If you are a practising speech and language therapist, this programme will enable you to increase your clinical knowledge and expertise and develop the research skills necessary to progress to specialist roles or further study.
The course is also ideal if you are a graduate from a related discipline, such as psychology or linguistics, with an interest in pursuing a research career in the field of communication disorders.
This course does not qualify you to practise as a speech and language therapist. If you are seeking entry to the speech and language therapy profession you should apply for our MSc in Speech and Language Therapy.
