The programme is aimed at meeting the educational needs of prospective professional engineers by providing an in-depth theoretical understanding and practical knowledge of electrical engineering subject areas. The programme concentrates on providing the students with the opportunity to develop their intellectual and imaginative abilities with respect to good engineering practice that will allow them to fit into engineering organisations quickly and easily.
This programme particularly focuses on the operation of Electrical machines, power system network analysis, electrical supply design, transmission network analysis, and machine drives control. Upon completion, the graduates are expected to have an excellent career in the renewable energy sectors, power generation and distribution companies, energy utilities and other related industries.

Extended Diploma MMM in related subject. BTEC must include Maths/A Level Maths grade C.
Alternatively, National Diploma MM in related subject plus A-Level Grade C. BTEC must include Maths/A Level Maths grade C .

Minimum Year 2
HNC
Pass HNC in Engineering Systems, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering with grade B in the Graded Unit.
Must include passes in the modules Engineering Maths 1, 2 and 3.
Minimum Year 3
HND
Pass HND in Engineering Systems, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics with grade B in all SCQF Level 8 Graded Units.
Must include passes in the modules Engineering Maths 1, 2, 3 and 4.
