Mae’r radd Astudiaethau Plentyndod ac Ieuenctid a Chymraeg yn mynd i’r afael â’r galw cynyddol am raddedigion Cymraeg eu hiaith sydd â’r wybodaeth am ddiwylliant Cymru a’r arbenigedd proffesiynol sydd eu hangen i weithio’n effeithiol ac yn empathetig â phobl ifanc a’u teuluoedd mewn gwahanol gyd-destunau.
Mae’n radd ar y cyd sy’n cyfuno dysgu am iaith, llenyddiaeth a diwylliant Cymru ag archwilio i’r sbectrwm llawn o brofiadau plentyndod ac ieuenctid, o’r cenhedlu i’r trawsnewid i fod yn oedolyn. Mae hyn yn cynnwys llencyndod, hawliau plant, datblygiad, dysgu, chwarae, hunaniaeth, diogelu, iechyd meddwl ac amrywiaeth. Byddwch yn archwilio ac yn trafod hanes, llenyddiaeth, a diwylliant Cymru gan wella eich hyfedredd ieithyddol ac ymwybyddiaeth ddiwylliannol.
Ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, mae astudiaethau academaidd o iaith a llenyddiaeth Gymraeg yn eang ac amrywiol. Gallwch astudio a mwynhau amrywiaeth eang o lenyddiaeth Gymraeg, archwilio gwleidyddiaeth Cymru a gwahanol gyfnodau o hanes er enghraifft. Wrth astudio Astudiaethau Plentyndod ac Ieuenctid, byddwch yn dod i gysylltiad â’r myrdd o faterion cyfoes sy’n effeithio ar blentyndod ac ieuenctid, a chymhlethdodau bywyd modern yn erbyn cefndir newidiadau diwylliannol, cymdeithasol, economaidd, addysgol a gwleidyddol byd-eang.
Mae’r radd cyfrwng Cymraeg hon yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer siaradwyr Cymraeg a’r rhai sy’n dymuno dilyn gyrfa yng Nghymru. Byddwch yn gallu dysgu sgiliau damcaniaethol ac ymarferol wrth gefnogi plant a phobl ifanc, gan gynnwys cefnogi plant ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol ac anawsterau cyfathrebu trwy fanteisio ar gyfleoedd i ddysgu technegau cefnogi cyfathrebu.
Mae opsiynau 'Blwyddyn Profiad Rhyngwladol' a 'Blwyddyn ar Leoliad' ar gael ar gyfer y cwrs hwn. Bydd gennych y cyfle i ystyried yr opsiynau hyn yn llawn ar ôl cychwyn eich cwrs ym Mangor a gallwch wneud cais i drosglwyddo i un o’r opsiynau yma ar yr adeg priodol. We are happy to accept combinations of the qualifications listed above, as well as alternative Level 3 qualifications such as: City & Guilds; Access; Cambridge Technical Diplomas; Irish Leaving Certificate (from a minimum of 4 higher subjects); and NCFE CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma. We also welcome applications from mature learners.

On 4 December 2024 the Welsh Government confirmed that the tuition fee cap (the maximum tuition fee that regulated providers can charge to certain students on full-time undergraduate courses) will increase to £9,535 per year, subject to changes in the regulations by the Welsh Government.
