Mae’r radd Astudiaethau Plentyndod ac Ieuenctid a Chymraeg yn mynd i’r afael â’r galw cynyddol am raddedigion Cymraeg eu hiaith sydd â’r wybodaeth am ddiwylliant Cymru a’r arbenigedd proffesiynol sydd eu hangen i weithio’n effeithiol ac yn empathetig â phobl ifanc a’u teuluoedd mewn gwahanol gyd-destunau.

Mae’n radd ar y cyd sy’n cyfuno dysgu am iaith, llenyddiaeth a diwylliant Cymru ag archwilio i’r sbectrwm llawn o brofiadau plentyndod ac ieuenctid, o’r cenhedlu i’r trawsnewid i fod yn oedolyn. Mae hyn yn cynnwys llencyndod, hawliau plant, datblygiad, dysgu, chwarae, hunaniaeth, diogelu, iechyd meddwl ac amrywiaeth. Byddwch yn archwilio ac yn trafod hanes, llenyddiaeth, a diwylliant Cymru gan wella eich hyfedredd ieithyddol ac ymwybyddiaeth ddiwylliannol.

Ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, mae astudiaethau academaidd o iaith a llenyddiaeth Gymraeg yn eang ac amrywiol. Gallwch astudio a mwynhau amrywiaeth eang o lenyddiaeth Gymraeg, archwilio gwleidyddiaeth Cymru a gwahanol gyfnodau o hanes er enghraifft. Wrth astudio Astudiaethau Plentyndod ac Ieuenctid, byddwch yn dod i gysylltiad â’r myrdd o faterion cyfoes sy’n effeithio ar blentyndod ac ieuenctid, a chymhlethdodau bywyd modern yn erbyn cefndir newidiadau diwylliannol, cymdeithasol, economaidd, addysgol a gwleidyddol byd-eang.

Mae’r radd cyfrwng Cymraeg hon yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer siaradwyr Cymraeg a’r rhai sy’n dymuno dilyn gyrfa yng Nghymru. Byddwch yn gallu dysgu sgiliau damcaniaethol ac ymarferol wrth gefnogi plant a phobl ifanc, gan gynnwys cefnogi plant ag anghenion dysgu ychwanegol ac anawsterau cyfathrebu trwy fanteisio ar gyfleoedd i ddysgu technegau cefnogi cyfathrebu.

Mae opsiynau 'Blwyddyn Profiad Rhyngwladol' a 'Blwyddyn ar Leoliad' ar gael ar gyfer y cwrs hwn. UCAS Tariff - 96 - 120 points

Gellir ystyried cymwysterau Lefel 3 ar y cyd â chymhwyster arall yn y Gymraeg (e.e. Safon Uwch, IB Uwch). Level 3 qualifications can be considered in conjunction with another qualification in Welsh (e.g. A-level, IB Higher).

A level

Gan gynnwys gradd B mewn Cymraeg (neu radd B mewn pwnc Celfyddydau neu Dyniaethau a astudir drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg (e.e. Ffrangeg, Almaeneg, Hanes, Daearyddiaeth, Astudiaethau Crefyddol). Ni dderbynnir Astudiaethau Cyffredinol a Sgiliau Allweddol. Including a grade B in Welsh (or a grade B in an Arts or Humanities subject studied through the medium of Welsh - e.g. French, German, History, Geography, Religious Studies). General Studies and Key Skills not accepted.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - MMM - DDM

Gellir ei ystyried ar y cyd â chymhwyster arall yn y Gymraeg neu astudiaethau trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg (e.e. Lefel A a Fagloriaeth Ryngwladol Uwch). Can be considered in conjunction with another qualification in Welsh or studies through the medium of Welsh (e.g. A Level, IB Higher)

Access to HE Diploma

Cwrs mynediad gydag elfen o Gymraeg. (Gellir ei ystyried ar y cyd â chymhwyster arall yn y Gymraeg neu astudiaethau trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg - e.e. Lefel A a Fagloriaeth Ryngwladol Uwch.) Access course with Welsh elements. (Can be considered in conjunction with another qualification in Welsh or studies through the medium of Welsh - e.g. A Level, IB Higher.)

Scottish Higher

Isafswm o 5 Scottish Highers - efallai y bydd angen rhai graddau pwnc-benodol/Efallai y bydd angen Advanced Highers. Minimum of 5 Scottish Highers - some subject specific grades/Advanced Highers may be required.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Gan gynnwys gradd H5 mewn Cymraeg. (Gellir ei ystyried ar y cyd â chymhwyster arall yn y Gymraeg neu astudiaethau trwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg - e.e. Lefel A a Fagloriaeth Ryngwladol Uwch.) Welsh Baccalaureate - Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate (last awarded Summer 2024)

Byddwn yn derbyn y cymhwyster hwn ar y cyd â chymwysterau lefel 3 eraill. We will accept this qualification in conjunction with other level 3 qualifications.

OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - MMM - DDM

T Level

Derbynnir cymwysterau Lefel T fesul achos. T Level qualifications are accepted on a case by case basis.

We are happy to accept combinations of the qualifications listed above, as well as alternative Level 3 qualifications such as: City & Guilds; Access; Cambridge Technical Diplomas; Irish Leaving Certificate (from a minimum of 4 higher subjects); and NCFE CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma. We also welcome applications from mature learners.

Note:

  • Applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS check for the child workforce including a check of the children’s barred list.
    -Applicants who have lived or worked outside the UK are also required to undertake a criminal records check in their countries of residence.
  • In lieu of Welsh A-level, grade B in an Arts or Humanities subject studied through the medium of Welsh (e.g. History, Geography, Religious Studies, French, German).

International Candidates: school leaving qualifications that are equivalent to A levels/Level 3 and/or college diplomas are accepted from countries worldwide (subject to minimum English Language requirements), details at: www.bangor.ac.uk/international/applying/entryrequirements

Additional fee information

On 4 December 2024 the Welsh Government confirmed that the tuition fee cap (the maximum tuition fee that regulated providers can charge to certain students on full-time undergraduate courses) will increase to £9,535 per year, subject to changes in the regulations by the Welsh Government.
