Across our two campuses we offer full and part-time higher education courses, with Weymouth focussing on vocational courses such as art, media, performing arts, health and social care, sport and public services and Kingston Maurward specialising in land-based courses covering subjects such as agriculture, wildlife, ecology and conservation.

This Foundation Degree course in partnership with the University of Plymouth is delivered on the Kingston Maurward campus. The course aims to provide business skills at Level 4 and 5 that also incorporates scope for learners to gains skills specific to business need e.g. human resources, digital skills, tourism and strategic goals for business development and change.
The programme will provide graduates with a diverse range of skills to effectively administrate and manage businesses and enterprises. The programme develops excellent core skills in business management with more technical skills in the agriculture sector to respond to supply and demand. Partly taught alongside our main Business Management programme, this pathway include specific modules in rural business and economy. Rural businesses are a key sector in Dorset and other communities across the UK, providing specialised products and services, within highly local and dynamic supply chains and networks.
At Level 4 the programme will develop core business skills alongside other key areas such organisational management and financial acumen. Pathway modules develop understanding of rural economies and specific legislation and compliance in the rural business sector.
At Level 5, the programme will develop skills in strategic business planning and strategy, skills for leadership and customer dynamics. Pathway modules develop skills and understanding in diversification and business continuity for rural based enterprises.
