Course summary
This course is an excellent opportunity for students wishing to qualify as a Veterinary Physiotherapist whilst studying a degree qualification.
Recognised by the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists (NAVP), studies will combine academic study and occupational competence. Graduates will be eligible to apply for full membership of NAVP, which works for the promotion of professional standards, provides insurance, CPD opportunities and recognition within the industry. Students study the equivalent of eighteen 20 credit modules over the three year duration of the full time course.
The course is accredited by the AHPR (Animal Health Practitioners Register) and students will be able to gain direct entry to the register following successful completion of the course.
This course is delivered by Warwickshire College and validated in partnership with Coventry University, and is regulated by the Office for Students (OfS).
Please note: The agreed maximum rider weight to meet welfare guidelines for the current stock of horses at Moreton Morrell College is 13st 7lbs - this is for a rider dressed in riding attire (boots and riding hat). According to welfare guidelines, WCG are unable to provide horses for riders above this maximum weight at this time. Please consider this and factor this into your decision making regarding your study options.

During the course, students will be expected to undertake 50 hours of placement to incorporate both canine and equine placements.

Assessment method
Each module has its own specific assessment profile, for instance 100% coursework or 50% coursework and 50% written examination.
Modules are assessed using a variety of methods (reports, essays, presentations or practicals) thus allowing students to develop a range of transferable skills and build entrepreneurial expertise.

Qualification requirements
UCAS Tariff - 128 points
This may be derived from a Level 3 qualification including BTEC Extended Diploma or City & Guilds Advanced Technical Extended Diploma in a related subject, T Levels in Science or Animal Care and Management or A Levels including 2 Science subjects with at least 1 in Biology, Chemistry or Physics. We would consider the following Science subjects: PE, Psychology, Sociology and Health and Social Care.
