The degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences is concerned with the design, evaluation, production and testing of medicines. As such, it is based on the chemical, biological and medical sciences as the foundation for employment within the pharmaceutical and related (eg medical device) industries. All of these facets are addressed and integrated in this three-year undergraduate degree.

A-level General Studies and Critical Thinking are normally excluded from offers. However, the grade achieved may be taken into account when results are published in August and may be used in a tie-break situation.
Access to HE course must contain sufficient relevant modules in Biology and Chemistry.

Successful completion of the Access to HE Diploma with a minimum of 60 credits is required, including 45 credits at Level 3 and 15 at Level 2.
Two Advanced Highers required to include Biology or Chemistry.
Applicants offering Advanced Higher Biology would be expected to have completed at least one Higher from Chemistry, Mathematics or Physics.
Applicants offering Advanced Higher Chemistry would be expected to have completed at least one Higher from Biology, Mathematics or Physics.
Offers are normally made on the basis of a combination of Scottish Highers and Advanced Highers.
Successful completion of IB Diploma with 32 points overall including 6,5,5 at Higher Level to include Biology and Chemistry OR Biology and Mathematics or Physics OR Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics .
To include Higher Level grade H3 in Biology and Chemistry.
If not offered at Higher Level then Ordinary Level grade O4 in English and Mathematics.
Grade C or better in GCSE Mathematics and both Biology and Chemistry or Double Award Science (grades CC).
Grade C or better in Scottish National 5 Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry.
