This is a 4-year degree which includes a preparatory first year as part of the BA Fashion Buying and Brand Management course. This 4-year option will suit you if you want more time to develop your skillset before starting year one of your undergraduate degree or if you do not fulfil the entry requirements of the 3-year course.

Developed with input from industry experts, this course offers a comprehensive understanding of the workings of the industry and prepares you for a wide range of roles - from trend forecasting and buying, to marketing and sustainability positions.

You'll acquire the practical and creative expertise needed to visualize a range, promote a brand, generate a professional report, and pitch ideas using tools like Adobe Suite, Clo3D, SketchUp, and online fashion resources. You'll also gain a robust knowledge of the systems and processes required to build, manage, market, and grow a fashion or lifestyle business in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

Throughout the course, there is a strong emphasis on networking with industry professionals and learning through practical workshops, live industry briefs, and behind-the-scenes visits to manufacturers, trade shows, and retailers. Assessment method

You will be continually assessed throughout the course using a variety of methods including written and verbal presentations, peer assessment, and external reviews. Each module has a Formative and a Summative assessment point, where feedback and advice are provided to develop and complete projects and a final grade is awarded.
