Historical Studies (Taught)

The MSc in Historical Studies is a taught postgraduate Masters degree designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to progress in a range of careers and professions. A History Masters prepares you for careers in business, government, the creative industries, education, finance, and the STEM sectors.

In 2025, the AHRC recognised the strengths of the postgraduate teaching and training environment in the Department of Humanities at Strathclyde with a Doctoral Landscape Award. This £1.5 million investment will provide a pathway for MSc Historical Studies students into PhD study.
