Course summary

Our CertHE Sports Media programme is a year-long programme designed to introduce you to the exciting world of sports media, journalism and production. You’ll spend your time working with a wide range of platforms and technologies to create professional sports media content. We have strong working links with numerous local professional clubs, with whom we have produced a variety of content for, these relationships ensure you will benefit from real-world experience within the sports media industry.

We have worked with Bristol Bears, Bristol City, Bristol Rovers and many other local clients, and you will have industry insight from staff who have worked at BBC Radio Bristol, Bristol Post, BBC, Sky and other publications and media outlets. During your studies you will have access to our state-of-the-art facilities, TV studio, live-streaming facilities and gantry.

A range of core modules will be studied alongside our BA Media Production students creating a richer learning environment by sharing practice across disciplines. You will also undertake specialist sports media modules where you will develop technical skills and knowledge for sports audio production and sports feature writing. Our delivery model is designed to support graduate success as well as progression to our FdA Sports Media degree (two-year option) or the full BA Media Production degree.
