Course summary
By combining English and History of Art, you’ll get to explore how textual and visual material interact with one another.
Studying the two subjects together asks how creativity responds to and works to shape the world. You’ll learn how to master art-historical and literary criticism, and discover the connections and differences between artistic media. In doing so, you’ll gain an exciting and fresh perspective on the history of human expression, graduating with skills highly prized by employers across a wide range of industries. English Literature or English Language and Literature (or equivalent) at grade A is essential.
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016) - DDD
We consider a range of BTEC qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications.
A Level in English Literature or English Language and Literature (or equivalent qualification) at grade A is essential.
Access to HE Diploma - D: 36 credits M: 9 credits
Pass Access to HE Diploma with 36 credits at Distinction including at least 9 in English Literature-related units and 9 at Merit or higher.

If you achieve an A or higher at EPQ, you may be eligible for an alternative offer up to one A Level grade (or equivalent) below our typical offer.
OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma - DDD
We consider a range of OCR qualifications equivalent to 3 A Levels, or in combination with A Levels or other qualifications.
