This flagship London fashion course blends traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge digital innovation. You’ll explore design, pattern cutting, sampling and emerging technologies that are reshaping the journey from concept to creation.

You’ll develop essential skills in illustration, garment construction, digital design and creative communication. Working in a studio that reflects real industry practice, you’ll experiment, collaborate and respond to live briefs—graduating with a distinctive design voice and a professional portfolio.

The course builds industry-ready designers with strong research, concept development and technical abilities. You’ll refine your creative identity while gaining the tools and confidence to stand out in a competitive field.

Industry experience is central. You’ll work on live briefs, receive support to secure work-based learning placements, and gain exposure to global fashion hubs from London to New York. Previous students have interned with leading brands such as Givenchy, Viktor & Rolf, AF Vandevorst, Haider Ackermann and Calvin Klein.

You’ll also take on industry-led projects with partners like VF Corporation (Timberland, Wrangler, Lee, The North Face) and Kingpins denim.

Throughout the BA (Hons) Fashion with Integrated Foundation Year degree, you’ll collaborate across disciplines and discover how 3D and digital technologies are transforming fashion creation. From the start, you’ll shape your own design signature with guidance from expert tutors and visiting professionals. will broaden your horizons in fashion and beyond.

Modules

The Integrated Foundation Year gives you the time and space to build confidence, strengthen your technical skills and discover the fashion pathway that suits you best. Through studio-based, project-led learning, it is designed to prepare you for Year 2 of the course.

You'll explore four key modules:

Module 1: Diagnostic exploration – Experiment widely, test ideas and make informed choices about your direction.
Module 2: Technical – Build practical skills and apply technical knowledge across fashion processes.
Module 3: Specialist – Develop and innovate within an emerging area of interest.
Module 4: Integration – Bring together your skills and creative thinking to form a coherent practice.

Qualified teacher status (QTS)

To work as a teacher at a state school in England or Wales, you will need to achieve qualified teacher status (QTS). This is offered on this course for the following level:
