What you will learn

You will develop a critical understanding of the underlying concepts, principles, methodologies and skills of key areas including:

all main aspects of make-up, special effects and hair/wig design for use in a wide range of performance and media settings
technical skills in the field of prosthetics
the impact on the industry of current developments and changes in technology
environmental and sustainable design
working with clients in Theatre, TV, Film and Media settings
preparing for university level study or employment
The Level 5 modules prepare students to move on to specific areas of Make-Up and Hair Artistry at Level 6 or to enter employment with the qualities and abilities necessary for roles that require personal responsibility and decision-making.

By the end of Level 5, you will have a sound understanding of the principles in your specialist area of study and how to apply those principles more widely in the business world.
