Course summary

Open the door to a rewarding scientific career. You'll focus on the science that underpins modern medicine. Understand how a
healthy human body works, how disease develops and how normal function can be restored. This course is accredited by the
Royal Society of Biology* owning to its academic excellence in bioscience and research.

The 21st century presents many health challenges. Studying Medical Science gives the desirable analytical and laboratory skills; provides knowledge and
understanding of the human body; how it performs optimally, and the impact of disease. It will prepare you for work in various
professional environments or the healthcare sector, where a scientific contribution is made to areas involving the diagnosis,
treatment, and prevention of disease.

This broad science certificate will help you identify and solve problems, lead, and managepeople and be confident in scientific communication; all highly valued competencies across the health sectors giving a strong advantage in the employment market. You’ll acquire your laboratory skills in a state-of-the-art level two category SuperLab. Assessment method

We'll make sure you're progressing correctly in a number of ways, including course work, essays, exams, short-answer tests,

understanding of all the relevant subject matter and laboratory skills, but also focus on developing your critical appraisal skills,
depth of understanding, and ability to work independently
