Degree Overview
With the iconic Wembley Stadium as your campus, you’ll be in a unique position to learn in a real-world setting. This degree covers all aspects of the wide ranging international events industry and provides opportunities to learn about both stadium and event management in the country’s largest and most high profile sporting arena.
 
All aspects of international events management are studied including event marketing, organisation and planning, financing and risk management with several live events organised by students during their studies in order to gain direct live events experience.
 
The opportunity to study at such a globally recognised venue ensures that you will graduate with the expertise, experience, and network to pursue a successful career in stadium and events management.

Degree Content
The degree will provide an insight into the managerial and business facets of delivering a safe and customer focused event experience. This includes exploring various event operations and their impact upon delivering a successful and profitable event, whilst understanding the implications of the legalities and regulations.
 
Frequent Industry guest speakers provide many different perspectives of life in the sports and events industries alongside internship, volunteering and work experience opportunities for students during their degree.
 
Employment opportunities from the degree post graduation including working in international sporting and events venues and organisations as well as for global corporate, music, charity and events businesses.

Assessment method

A range of assessment types are used across this course, as appropriate to each module. Assessment is predominantly continuous, employing items that will include academic essays, reports, presentations, portfolios, reflective writing, as well as practical broadcast outputs.

Applied assessment tasks are used as far as possible to enable students to link theory with practice, thereby assessing knowledge and understanding alongside practical study-specific skills and key industry skills.

Students with disabilities and/or particular learning needs should discuss assessments with the Course Leader, Module Leader and Seminar Leaders to ensure they are able to fully engage with all assessment within the course.
