As part of the course, there will be opportunities to compete weekly in the National Student Esports, in a range of live and online single and multiplayer games events across titles including Valorant, Overwatch, League of Legends and Rocket League. Aside of the competitive element, there will be trips to gaming festivals, guest speakers from local and national Esports companies providing industry specific knowledge.

Progression

The Level 5 Higher National Diploma is recognised by higher education providers as meeting admission requirements to many relevant undergraduate esports-related courses, for example: ● BA (Hons) Esports ● BA (Hons) Esports Business Management ● BA (Hons) Esports Coaching ● BA (Hons) Esports Production.

Within the Esports industry, there are a wide range of career opportunities and completing this course, you will be able to consider roles such as

Sponsorship information

The Principal’s Higher Education Scholarship
The Principal’s Higher Education Scholarship is open to students who are starting the first year of a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND) at New College Swindon. There is one scholarship awarded per academic year.

The scholarship will cover the full tuition fees for either an HNC/HND programme. There are no restrictions on the duration of study (part-time or full-time)
