Course summary

This is a four-year programme that includes a year of foundational study at our Llandaff campus (delivered in English) and leads directly into the degree course, which will be taught bilingually at our Cyncoed campus. Our foundation year offers the chance to strengthen your skills, knowledge and confidence, before you advance to stage one of your honours degree.

Bydd y radd hon mewn Astudiaethau Addysg Gynradd ym Met Caerdydd yn eich paratoi ar gyfer gyrfa ym maes addysg, gan gynnwys addysgu. Drwy ganolbwyntio ar y sector cynradd, byddwch yn astudio systemau, prosesau a dulliau addysgol ac yn dysgu sut mae amgylchiadau cymdeithasol, diwylliannol, economaidd a gwleidyddol yn effeithio ar brofiadau ym maes addysg. Byddwch hefyd yn datblygu sgiliau drwy ddefnyddio gwahanol fathau o dechnoleg, gan ddysgu sut i'w defnyddio'n effeithiol yn eich astudiaethau ac mewn cyd-destunau gwaith.

Byddwch yn ymgymryd â dau leoliad gwaith lle byddwch chi’n cael cipolwg ymarferol ar yrfaoedd o fewn ac y tu allan i addysg gynradd, gan eich cyflwyno i swyddi ym maes AAA, dysgu awyr agored, addysg gymunedol ac addysg amgen, addysg a gofal blynyddoedd cynnar, a swyddi yn y trydydd sector. Mae'r radd hon yn cynnwys cyfleoedd i gael profiadau o fod ar leoliad ar y campws, gan ddefnyddio mannau arbenigol Met Caerdydd, Tŷ Froebel a'r Ganolfan Ddysgu Awyr Agored; ac mae lleoliad rhithwir yn darparu cyfleoedd ar gyfer profiad gwaith gydag ysgolion a sefydliadau rhyngwladol.
