Become a data detective, using your creativity and scientific tools to disentangle and provide data solutions to the biggest real-world challenges industries face globally.
Data is the backbone that almost every industry relies on to keep moving forward and providing the best service possible.
It plays a critical factor in everything from healthcare to finance, logistics to marketing. It’s how we find new places to eat – or choose a new show to watch. Data underpins almost everything we do.
Bringing together mathematics, computer science and communication, this course will teach you how to delve into raw data and transform it into invaluable insight for companies everywhere.
Data science now encompasses a massive scope, meaning it’s become a highly sought-after skillset – with so many avenues you could go down in your career.
By the time you graduate, you’ll have the same key skills in programming, modelling and strategic communication that leading data scientists use all over the world.
Leeds as a city is also a major hub for data scientists. From high-profile data science start-ups and large tech companies, to many key players in the fintech sector, like banks, consultancies and accountancy firms – you’ll be in a great environment to hone your skills in this field.
